I can't believe this - I wonder what ties the BBB has with this company. I filed a BBB complaint on Paycheck Today - the first repsonse was from MTE saying they are not Paycheck today. It was when keyed Paycheck Today on the BBB website that IT defaulted to MTE as being the dba - I responded with proof that me emails from Paycheck today have the MTE address right on the document so I know I have the right address. I just logged on to BBB and found this:
| Quote: |
08/09/2007 Case Closed as INVALID
08/09/2007 Complaint Against Wrong Company-Notify Consumer
08/09/2007 Complaint Against Wrong Co-Not Forwarded to BBB
08/09/2007 Remove Administrative Hold
08/06/2007 Administrative Hold
|
And here is the MTE response that got them to close it:

We have reviewed Ms. xxxxx' rebuttal to our initial response to her complaint against "Paycheck Today." As stated previously, we are MTE Financial Services; not "Paycheck Today." We have no affiliation with that company and it was confirmed by Angela Straggi-Burnett in your office yesterday, 8/1/07, that that company's name has been removed from the list of dba's that you have on MTE Financial Services' page of your website as it was invalid information.
With regard to Ms. xxxx' loan with MTE Financial Services, which she defaulted on 6/28/07, an offer was sent to her from our Compliance Department to settle the account. We never received a response from her. We have since closed the file as well as her account with the company.
We will consider this matter closed unless we hear from you.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
Respectfully,
Compliance Department

mperez, you know how I feel about MTE! First of all, please re-file with the BBB and send copies to your DFI, the FTC, and the state AG. File that MTE is indeed that pdl listed. We know it, they know it. I hate the way the flat out lie to the BBB. And they've done it to me with 2 of my 3 MTE pdl's. I keep re-filing stating that - yes, they are this pdl and they're not owning up to it! But, it gives me a thrill to fight them. However, them stating that your "MTE Financial account" is closed - what? Which pdl are they talking about? They stated a "closed account" on MTE Financial. Okay. Which one of the 18 d/b/a accounts are they considering "closed"??? And, did you receive anything from MTE Financial stating that your "account is closed"??? Some how I'm doubting it. You know I don't trust these you-know-what's. So which "account" are they referring to?

Cannr - I knew you would get a kick out of this one! On a previous response on this complaint I said OK fine if they want to play games then tell them to respond to my loan with "MTE" Cash advance network. That one was actually debited on all the ACH's as MTE. So, I guess I have another PIF! They are such losers it just makes my blood boil. I worked with this site to get started with a Blog - I think I'll go work on it for a bit - maybe dumping all this frustration in to words will help lower my blood pressure! LOL

Man, MTE bites so bad! Go lower your blood pressure! You know they're a friggin joke. Liers, liers, liers. I can't tell you how many times I've fired back saying YES THIS IS THEM! What else do we have to do? I'm thinking of driving to Oklahoma and hunt them down. Road trip, anyone?
