I send one of my PDl's a complaint letter at the beginning of April, telling them that they overcharged me by $245 and I was demanding a refund (I knew my chances were slim). I borrowed $200 and they were continuing to take out $89 every two weeks. In ended up having to close that checking account. Yesterday they send me an email telling me that they were going to credit my account but needed my checking information. I called my bank and told them the situation and he suggested that I do give them the information, but if there is any money deducted, then the bank will dispute it. What do you all think. I don't know of any other way to get this money back. This is only one of many that overcharged me. Their name is Payment Direct Online.

Should I demand a PIF and a refund? That refund would definitely come in handy. Are there any other ways to get a refund from them?

do not give them your new account info. NEVER DO THAT. You can get a refillable visa and ask them to put the refund on that

yes, tell them to mail you a PIF letter along with a check or money order. They could just betelling you that they will credit your account just so they can turn around a take more from you. Do as Paul says and do not give out your new account to ANYONE!!!!

Yeah that is BS and probably a trick to get your new account information.

DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM.

Demand a cashiers check or money order.

Hello again,

I have received authorization to credit your account in the
amount of $245.00. The only way I have of doing this credit
is through an ach transaction to a bank account. I will
need a routing number and account number to an account in
order to process this. If I can process it on Thursday you
will have the money on Friday. If you would feel better
talking to me in person instead of sending the information
through an e-mail, please feel free to call me at the number
below. I am in the office from 9am to 5pm eastern time.

Thank you,

Janet

I would tell them that due to fraud on your account you do not have a checking account and would like them to mail you a check.

Or you could just tell them that you no longer have a checking account.

She emailed me back and accepted the routing and account # from the prepaid card. She said that being they are a call center, they cannot issue checks or money orders. I guess I will see tomorrow if the money is deposited. I will let you all know.

Hello, I just wanted to let you all know, they did deposit my overpayment onto a prepaid VISA. They even called me to make sure it was credited. This is the only pdl place that ever worked with me without threats. I complained and they took action. They go by Worldwide Cash or Payment Direct.

Yes I had the same experience with them. They also refunded me for overpayment.

Congrats on your refund
