I finally got it done. I was in the parking lot waiting for the branch to open. I got my refund on the payment they processed for Cashnet USA and opened another account at a totally different bank. I double checked with the old bank to make sure they wouldn't open the account up for any debits and they assured me they would not. I even got it in writing. I walked out of that bank with a smile on my face. I can slowly feel the happiness coming back now that I'm finally getting control of things. If it were not for this forum, I know I wouldn't be as happy as I am right now.

Congratulations!!! You are on your way...I am so glad your bank is working with you...many of us had banks that didn't. That is great for you. Keep posting and let us know what happens in your follow up...and keep that smile!!

Congrats!! It's a good feeling to finally get control back of your paycheck. There's nothing worse than getting paid, and then knowing that these bloodsuckers are going to take practically the whole thing (esp. if you overpaid them!)

ald, yay!  You did it! And you were very smart to get your old bank to give you something in writing! Excellent advise to others! Now, you can actually have your paycheck back! I'm so happy for you! Thank you for posting good news on here for others to see that it is possible!

Woo hoo! That is awesome your bank even put it in writing! That is really the way to go because sometimes even the cs reps there don't know that ach transactions reopen accounts. But when you have it in writing there isn't much the bank can really do if it happens.
