Got in way over my head with credit cards and payday loans. I have 4 pdls out now and can't keep up with the bi-weekly payments and trying to pay down the loan.

There are some companies that do consolidate pay day loans, I won't say any names, because I haven't used them.
Can you tell us what state you are in-if these are store front or internet loans, and what companies you are dealing with?
On your credit cards, have you tried to talk with them and see if they will lower or drop your interest so you can get them paid off? Alot of them have a hardship-type- of program where they will drop or lower the interest if you will commit to a payment plan of six to twelve months, this has worked for me.
If you do decide to go with a consolidation company- you can get a free credit counseling here, see what your options are and go from there. Before you go with any company, please check them out with the BBB, and others who have used them successfully. There is a tab at the top of the screen that has a Ranking chart for all the states, and the companies..Feel free to ask questions-Keep us posted on your progress..KAren

They are several payday consolidation or settlement companies that we know of here, or I know of here such as Town and Country Associates and Langhorn Law and Sixfpert. They all work with payday loans and cc.
Im not sure of the phone and address, but they are used alot here so someone will come along soon with that info. You have come to the right place, so just relax, it will be ok now.
thanks

I have spoken with Langhorne. They do not consolidate loans, but represent you to payday loan companies, work out a deal with them, and you put money into savings for a year and then pay off the pdls yourself. Of course there is a fee.

Town and Country, I've heard does consolidate so that would help you with your credit cards as well, but that is all I know about them.
It would help us to know what companies you borrowed from how much you borrowed and how much you've repaid already. And what state you are in.

If you do a search on Town & Country you will see that other people have used them and are very satisfied with them. Good luck.

Yay, someone knowledgable in T&C. So in your experience so far, how does the process work? Is it a consolidation thing where you pay one monthly payment... And who do you pay the payment to - them?

One more thing you can try. Call the toll free number of the DebtCC website. It's 800-601-1579. Ask for the "financial coach" on the phone. He will recommend you a suitable company in your area who consolidates payday loans. I have tried the number and it worked.

You know that is great advice, I wish I had thought about that when I first arrived here. I was trying to consolidate but I had spoken with so many companies that told me "We don't work with Payday loans" that I pretty much had given up on them. SO I was excited to hear about Langhorne and T&C, but I only recently spoke with one of them.
Once I knew I could do it on my own and started down that path I just kept going.

You call them and speak to one of the reps on the phone - you give them all the information and then there is a charge that you have to pay first for there service -mine was 210.00 - they give you a date when its do. They fax you over paperwork - fill in the addresses of the pdl companies sign and fax back to them. Once they rec your payment they will contact the pdl - they are one of the few compaines who will help you - they are so nice on the phone - so far so good

Just a word of caution- check out any company you are thinking of signing with. You can check them out at the BBB, and sometimes your states AG has a list of Companies that do consolidation and are approved.
I won't personally recommed a company because I haven't used one, and am not sure about them. If you can find someone who has used the company through completetion, it would help..Good Luck..KAren
