Oak View Law doesn`t handle pay day loans. They handle credit cards debt , medical bills , unsecured loans , collections and stuff like that. The only two company's that exist that handle pay days loans if Langhorne debt solutions and PDL Assistance.

I did an online chat with them today and it seems expensive to pay their fee, but they will set up a payment arrangement of what you can afford monthly. That is what I understood. They charge $100 each for the first five creditors or pdl that you have, then it's $50 for each one after. With me having 12 pdl's, my fee is going to be $850. He said they will take $100 a month and as soon as they get that initial payment, they will send power of attorney letters to the pdl people. Does that make sense to anyone. I told them to call me tomorrow.

***Roxxy/Anyone*** have you heard of GLOBAL/RockyMountain refunding money to clients who cancel in a debt settlement program? Particularley PDL Asistance? Have anyone went through this.
Also why have no one posted any succes stories with PDl or Langhorne. I keep reading about they helped settle this and I got a "PIF" on that, but never a full story on the whole proccess of any of these companies. They have been threads going back to 2006. How long does it take to complete their program..sheesh

PDL settlement programs with Langhorne debt solutions and PDL Assistance can range from 6 months to 1 year depending on how fast of a program you enrolled in. " Guest ", how long were you in the PDL assistance program before you canceled ?

I too am dealing with Oak View law group. So far I am really pleased with them. I told them that I could not afford that kind of money because of the jam I am in with PDls and he told me they could work out a discount plan.
As far as what they have done I called them today to tell them that one company has reopened my closed account he said he would call them and ask why they are still trying to get money from me when I have already paid my loan plus some. I will have to let you know what the outcome of this situation is.

they are a bit pricey, but its worth it to me, when you consider how much you would/have paid the pdl's. that and some of theses assistance places are not available in certain areas. the fact that you pay what you can afford makes it all the better.

Regarding Oak View Law, do they work with the pdl's to settle the amount owed or do they just pay them the total amount borrowed and all the fees?

Oak View is a legit business and yes they are with the BBB. As far as how they work:
1st step: you have to give them your overall debt owed
2nd step: they will call you or you can call them and go step by step with you on the process of how they work. Yes they are a bit pricey but I told them that because of all this payday loan bull I could not afford this and he told me that they could work up a dicount plan.
step 2: set up a trust fund with them
step 3. after they get your first installment for you trust, they will start sending letters to all the companys that you owe telling tham that they need to stop drafting money from your account
step 4: getting all debts marked paid in full
step 5. working on getting you back some money.
hope this helps

Anyone ever complete Oak View's program? They have been around since 2007. They sound great, but I am still a lil fuzzy to see if they really try to settle in my best interest than theirs. Meanuing if I have paid $580 on a $200 principal loan, I should get a "PIF". Some places really break laws to consumers. Does Oak View law STAND UP for their clients??? Any stories would help. Please be honest. Legit guests please....

Please, please, please check out any company thouroghly before you go with them. Some state, you can check with the Attorney General and see about them. Use the search button here to see what others have said. We have had companies post as guests to advertise their program, so be carefull. Be sure and ask:
1. What are any and all fees in the program
2. How long will it take to complete the program
3. How long before you start paying my creditors
4. Will all my creditors work with companies.
5. Can I contact you daily if I have problems, or at least have a rapid response.
These are only a few questions you need to ask.
There are many people on this forum who have settled, gotten refunds or paid, PDL companies without a company.
Good Luck, and feel free to ask questions..karen
