PDL Assistance Complaints:
Good Afternoon~

Has anyone heard of and/or used the company PDL Assistance, Inc? They also go by PDL Eliminator. They are a PDL consolidation company who do the battleing for you but at a cost (of course). If you have, please let me know how they worked for you as I'm supposed to start on their program on the 31st.

Thank you~

I have heard of them a couple times from this board, but haven't seen anyone really relate their experience with them. Mainly just people asking if anyone has heard of them . . .

I just looked on the BBB . . . Did a search using their address. It came up as Fidelity Reserves Corp, a debt consolidation company.

They have had 61 complaints since Oct 2006. Not saying this is the same company, but I think they are related.

Now, that is not saying they are a bad company. I think the pdl part of their business is new.

I went and looked at the BBB report myself and was actually surprised to see how many "resloved" issues there were. Now I'm confused (again) and don't know what to do. I was really looking to have them help me. As I told you yesterday in another thread, I'm a very non-confrontational personality.

PDL Assistance Complaints:
You know, anyone can file a complaint. Especially when debt cons/settlement companies are involved, a lot of people don't quite understand what the company does and has unrealistic expectations. On the other hand, there are also a lot of rip off debt cons companies.

One thing I did see on their site - You can cancel at anytime, and you will not owe the company any more fees. You would lose any fees already paid.

It's really a call you have to make for yourself - You may also want to check out T&C - Do a search here for that name. Many have used them here. Also Langhorn. These are two similiar companies. Maybe call them up and see if the programs are similiar, and that may give you more of an idea of what to expect.

I was on the phone with them for an hour yesterday. He was gathering all of my information. A red flag for me was they required a $200 Administrative Fee, then he would email me my contract. I even asked him if I could see the contract first and he said that I needed to commit to a date when I could give them the money, my routing and account number. I told him that I will not give anyone my bank account information ever again and he hesitated and said, well I need that from you in order to collect your monthly payments. I told him that I would use a prepaid credit card if I decide to go with them. As our conversation neared the end, it sounded fishy. He told me that he is working overtime by talking to me and missing his son's school activity, then he said that he needs to buy shoes for his kid. That was strange. Regardless, I did not commit to anything. I think they are a scam.

I contacted Langhorne at first.. but they seemd both pushy and pricey. However, I have heard that they do work so it's a personal decision. I have also heard good things about town and country. I def. would not consider the company you mentioned though as it sounds crazy!

I signed up with PDL Assistance back in December and I am very happy with them. I also shopped with Langhorne but they weren't very polite. So far PDL assistance has settled 2 of my loans for almost 30% and 1 local pay day loan for 60 %.They also stopped the harassing calls which really surprised me. I really was scared at first because it sounded too good to be true but thus far they have delivered what they said they would do.

ginurse, Kashzan posted in your thread that Cash Transfers is an illegal company located overseas. You have more than paid them in full, if I were you, I would inform them that they are paid in full and to buzz off, also tell them you are contacting their ACH Processor. You may also want to contact your bank and get the number of their [Cash Transfers] processor, then call the processor and tell them you have revoked authorization for cash transfer to take any more of your money, also explain that they are illegal and owe you a refund! llw jump in here if I am incorrect! I am still learning this!

shazzers. . .it would seem that you have it pretty much covered. You are correct in that letting the PDL know that you have contacted their processor is key. The bank can also tell who the originator is and I would contact them as well. If the PDL knows that you are putting up road blocks on moving their monies, it won't be pretty for them. I have made it a point to let both the processor and the bank know what is going on. I know with Star I can't find a processor (not yet anyway) so I went directly to the bank's legal department in Omaha and I have also contacted the person of contact at BOW's main office in California, sending both my original C and D letter to Star which pretty much sums the situation up. I will give them a few days and if I don't hear I will be right back in their face again. As for the PDL consoliation companies, I too, felt that Langhorne was rather rude and expensive. It was going to cost me a couple thousand to settle and I have done it on my own for just what I borrowed. I would say try and do it yourself. If it doesn't work you can always contract for someone else to do it for you.

PDL Assistance Complaints:
I was considering hiring a company to handle my pdl's and called both this company and Langhorn last week. The only differences I could tell is Langhorn wanted a little more upfront and lets you hold onto your own savings. PDL Assistance gives you a little more time to pay their fees but they still added up to almost the same amount and they said I had to give them all my money instead of just their fees. I wasn't too crazy about that because what happens if they make a settlement I don't like and they go ahead and pay it? But like I said, Langhorn wanted more upfront. I don't know which was better so I did more homework. I came here and to the BBB sites and I went back and took a good look at their websites. Thats when it got real confusing. Almost every word on the two sites are the same. The only differences I could find were where Langhorne says their experience came from being payday lenders and PDL Assistance uses almost the same exact words to say they got their experience doing debt settlement. That and they have different news articles. It seems real weird to have two different companies copying each other like that. I'm thinking there really the same company just using two different names. I know Langhorn came first cause I see a lot of stuff here about them going back years but when I search PDL Assistance it only goes back a few months. How do I know Langhorne didn't just start up PDL Assistance to get customers that didn't sign up with them in the first place? Does it matter? Is there someone else I can use besides these companies. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

They are both legit and good companys that will be able to assist you. Langhorne does not own PDL Assistance. They are located in two completely different parts of the country. I looked both company's up on the Better Business Bureau and I don`t like the fact that Langhorne has an unsatisfactory record due to unresolved complaints. My opinion is that you really can`t go wrong with either but PDL assistance fees I believe is a little lower.
