I know, I know!

But I am in a situation where I need something to hold me over for the next couple of weeks, and I plan to pay it right back, I have learned my lesson with that!

Are there any places that play fair, I am in Washington DC

If you are in Washington DC, it's going to be hard.

Have you checked with your bank or credit union? They often times to direct deopsit advances.

If that dosen't work, you will want to make sure the company you are going with is legal, and you understand all the terms.

Also, if there are any storefronts, that would be a better choice then an internet based comany.

I THINK there's a storefront called College Park EZ check cashing about a mile north of the University of MD. Someone had told me they don't do rollovers or buy-backs for their loans. And seeing that PDL's ARE prohibited in MD due to the interest rate regulation, I guess their interest rates would have to be fairly reasonable (unless they haven't been caught by the State, yet). Anyhow - if you really don't have any alternative, they might be worth a try. Haven't used them myself so I'm afraid I can't give you any more info about them, I'm just repeating hearsay. Good luck!

i'm glad you changed your mind. i have come into situations when i was tempted but i knew it wasn't worth it. i have paid bills late (believe me, it sucks but they'll live) and borrowed off of family, etc. i felt like a bum paying bills late and borrowing but i knew it would prevent me from needing that kind of help in the future. for me, pdls were about pride. i was too ashamed to ask for the help but in the end, i needed to ask anyone so it never even made sense.

Don't do it unless there is no other way out. Credit Unions have salary advances and they are cheaper.
