Positions on Payday Loans

So far, the only candidate among the ones still in the Presidential race who has come out with a position on PDL's is Barack Obama--who is proposing a cap of 36 percent on all loans, including PDL's. He is also calling for a ban on all offshore PDL's. Hillary Clinton has failed to mention anything that I have seen--and none of the major GOP candidates has said anything.
The only other candidate who said anything about pdl's was John Edwards and he's dropped out.
Speaking as a person who has been personally screwed and ripped off by PDL's, this is why my vote in my state primary on Tuesday will be for Barack Obama. If more of us pay attention to what the major candidate's positions are , this will be one way we can get what we want--an end to this horrible practice.

I read about that also, Obama sure is covering his bases, he's a smart campaigner, that's for sure.

Thanks for that info. I guess I just haven't paid much attention. Heck is there a way to e-mail them and get their opinion on this matter. I know they want to tell us what we want to hear, so let us give them something to talk about. (does that make sense? )

Obama's my second choice out of all of them, and it makes me happy that he has a position on it. My candidate of choice is Ron Paul though, and I'm sure he has a position with him being so into fixing the economy. I'll have to try to find out.

That would be great! The more information that is shared here, the better we all can make an informed choice. Thanks for doing that.
