I read in another post a reference to something called PDL Assistance Program. Has anyone heard of this? And if so, how can I get some more information?

You might want to search this board (type in PDL Assistance in the search box above). I believe there might be more info on this company - mixed reviews I think.

I already went to the website and have had a call back. However, I only have 2 PDLs at a total of 450 dollars and they need you to have 700 dollars in outstanding loans to get in their program. So, I guess it is a good thing. I mainly just wanted to know how they worked. Thanks for everyones input.
