I am in such PDL H@$$. I have now 13 payday loans and I'm looking to take out another to cover the others. My pay date is on the 30th and I may be able to slide by this time, but I'm running out of time. I have been on a payday loan reliance for years. I take one out, then I need another, and another, and before I know it, it's out of control, the payday loan companies have my entire paycheck plus I need more loans, and finally I need a family member to bail me out. I have managed to pay the payday loans and my family members back, but then something happens, car, doctor, unexpected bills, etc, and it starts all over again. Well, I need help. I certainly can't let my family know that I am out of control again. I wish I would have seen your posting before. Please tell me how I can do this myself... Maybe PDL blacklisting is the only options for me to kick this bad expensive habit. I need help, please give me some options to see the light again….

I live in Pennsylvania and I currently have the following loans
Americashadvance- borrowed $700 (paid to date 7/30 $918 [$119 toward principle])

United Cash Loans - borrowed $300 (paid to date $520)

Ameriloan- borrowed $500 (paid to date $800 [$100 toward principle])

USFast - borrowed $400 (paid to date $650 [$100 toward principle])

Magnum Cash Advance - Do 4 equal payments ($376 each--loan was for 900 have made two payments totaling $752)

Payday one (payday select) - This one is tricky. My original loan was for 450 and “refinanced” to 600 although, due to fees I only received an $88 advance to my account. Since I took out the original $450 loan I have made payments of $700

Cashbackpayday - borrowed $500 (paid to date $310)

Integrity Advance - borrowed 400 (paid to date $360)

CashNetUSA - borrowed $650 (paid to date 226)

I recently acquire the following loans and they are due for renewal on the 30th.
SummitGroup- borrowed $250 (renewal due $75)
Paycheck today- borrowed $300 (renewal due $90)
SDS Processing- borrowed $250 (renewal due $75)
East Side Lenders - borrowed $400 (renewal due 120)

Please Help!

hello, welcome. please do not take another loan out, it will not help you. i see there is a lot of illegal loans that you have and you have already overpaid.. so that should help your burden to take care of the ones that you owe.
i would check the sticky about closing your bank account and make sure it is secured asap.

Definetly don't take out anymore. Read the sticky about dealing with illegal loans. The first thing you have to do is close your bank account and take back control of your money. Then you can take a deep breath and figure out a way out of this. Do not tell any of them that you are going to close your account before you do it though.

On your list PayDayOne and CashNetUSA are going to be legal. A few of the others are illegal although I am not sure on others. After you get your account closed you can work out payment arrangemens with th elegal lenders.

Ameriloan, US Fast Cash, and United Cash loans are all illegal and have no license to lend. So you only owe the principal amount borrowed with no interest or fees.

So with what you have already paid to all three of these you have overpaid them.

Oh and Americash Advance is also illegal.

How are they illegal? I just talk with the PA banking commission (can't remember, the number was listed here somewhere on this site) and they told me that yes they were illegal in PA, but they are out of state so I am still bound to the agreement, interest and all and that after closing my account I would need to make arrangements for paying back according to the agreement. What now?

Oh I did call my branch manager about closing my account and to guarantee that nothing would be processed they would put a lost/stolen clause in my closed account.

All of your info here has been really helpful. But I am more confused now than before. I want to pay my loans back, but I can't do it by taking out more loans.

Thoughts...suggestions...

Not only are most of or all of your loans illegal, but the huge overpayments are also obvious.

Go to your bank and file an ACH Claim against that transaction. It will take 5 - 7 working days for the bank to investigate and reverse the amount. If Norstar / Nordstar will not answer your calls nor emails, I doubt if they'll answer a claim from the bank on your behalf. You can also do that if you feel that you've over-paid them based on the payday loan laws in your state. Also, you can place an hard-hold on your account and block ALL ACH transactions. I also suggest that you place an "Block All Debits" on your account; If you can, just close your account as a lost /stolen checks, checks info and debit card; Just open a new account, even at the same bank or a different bank.

You may have spoken with someone unfamiliar with payday lender laws. You are only obligated to pay back the principal amount you borrowed, less whatever payment you have already made. Your state law prevails, you are not a resident of the state these pdl's may or may not be licensed in. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

Okay. Now how do I find out which ones are legal/illegal? For the illegal ones I pay the principle back, but how do I handle the legal transactions and their interest charges? I'm sorry to ask so many questions and want specifics, but I am going out of my mind . . . this has me so stressed that I can't think straight.

If you are a resident of PA and you took out the loans after 2/1/09, they are ALL illegal.
