I just called Town & Country Acceptance Corporation to get some info. about helping me pay off some lingering debt. Is this company still legit...because I'm alittle skeptical of the process and $195 downpayment to get started.

Can any help?

JJ

Have just been on phone with them. They were supposed to fax contract to me. They said they tried a couple of times. Should I be worried about this company or should I sign with them.

I have been reading all the blogs, thank to everyone, i have learned a lot but i don't know which one to go with either PDL Assisance (they have been really nice), Oak View Law (they don't deal with Storefront loans though), and now Town & Country, which do you think are better?

I am from WI - just contacted T&C, they can't help people in WI due to WI laws not allowing agencies outside of WI to assist??? Does that sound right? Any other suggestions??

the only reason they dont appect other state is because you dont have to pay them back and they cant send you to court because of there laws like a sample they pay off your debt for you you get tired of making payment to them and they be like why you aint sending your payment to us and they get really mad so they take you to court for something so stupid maybe you didnt have to give them money this whole time it called money problems there posed to help us why do we have to pay them they proably keep the money for themselves or something we should get a recipt everytime we make a payment so we could see what we have left to pay

I received a card in the mail from them right after I prayed to God for some help. I got thru the first time and received the info two days later. I was also a little unsure about sending in a big payment first, but I felt like I could trust them. Hopefully after today my bills will get paid and they will get off my back. I have also had people calling me at work and my friends.

In regards to Town and Country, I asked the woman I spoke with if they payoff the creditors up front and I pay them back and she said 'yes, we hold no escrow". I saw a post saying that they do opposite of that according to Ryan. Anyone who has dealt with them, please respond to how they pay things off.

I have used T&C for the last 3 months & They will send payments to your creditors as they get the money. So far I've had no issues with them doing this. I've had a couple of creditors claiming not to want to work with them, but in the end they took the money from T&C. They are great people to work with. Plus the $$ you send up front you will get back when everything is done.

Hello I know it's been a while since you posted this message but did everything worked out with T&C my husband and I got a postcard from them and we're thinking about joining the program things are looking kinda cloudy financially for us. Please tell me if things worked out and if your experience with them turned out good.
