I got a call from PayDayLoanYes. I asked them to send me a letter showing what principal I still owed. Then she gets ALL crazy:
Her:You didn't care if it was legal when you borrowed!
Me: Er, well, actually...
Her: This is a felony. You wrote a bad check over state lines!
Me: I actually didn't write you a check, I...
Her: You're going to be prosecuted!
Me: Well, that's where your wrong. State law states that...
Her: We're not located in your state! You better...
Me: I don't have to listen to you, nor do I have to be talked to like this. You can send me a letter and I will GLADLY pay any principal I owe.
Her: Just sit where you are--I'm contacting the authorities.

Uh, I did not need this crap today.

Just ignore them. They are one of the worst companies to deal with. My state tried reason with them and got nowhere too . . . .

They can't do crap to you, but harrass you. Don't let them!

You committed Interstate Fraud and can be prosecuted. You'd be wise to listed to your creditor. The FBI does not take kindly to these shenanigans.

The FBI is on our side! They are after you, not us.

I suggest you spend your time bothering people that don't know the difference between fact and lie . . . . . You might get a better response.

cdollar I'm truly sorry you have to put up with this, it really gets under my skin when I hear stories like this, these people are so well trained to monopolize the conversation when they make these collection calls, we need to somehow figure out how to keep our composure and beat them at their own game, and the thing is, it IS a game to them.

Shazzers, I think you're right, re. these people not majoring in English. I mean, when was the last time any of us heard someone use the word "shenanigans?" Where did they learn English, from old reruns of "Leave it to Beaver" or "Father Knows Best?" Golly Beav, sounds like the Pay Day Lenders are REALLY upset, huh?
