Anyone have one I can use?
I am in the middle of war with the PDLs... won a few battles and am fighting the others.... I am doing well.
A few of them marked my account paid in full for signing off that I wouldn't file complaints or pursue legal action. A few of them want just the principal I owe, which is cool and some want it all... so far its going well....the calls have stopped with my letters and they only contact me via email.
I want a debt validation letter to send to those fighting me. thanks everyone!

HI-Are you dealing with the PDL's directly or a collection agency on their behalf? A collection agency is required to validate per the fdcpa...an original creditor is not required.

I want it in my back pocket because 2 of the PDLS are threatening with collection agencies.
I am dealing with the PDLs directly and its working great. I am glad I didnt go with Langhorne, who has been calling weekly to get me to sign up even though I told them I am not interested.

Just be careful - It's not a good idea overall to not file complaints against these companies. When you agree to not file a complaint, then the company gets away with what they did without the government knowing.
Plus, it's never a good idea to use complaints as a negotiation tool. It could be viewed as extortion if you tell a pdl that you won't file complaints if they do what you want.

I am not telling them that - sorry for confusing. I had two PDLs ask me to sign a waiver that they would eat the money owed in return that I dont follow through with my complaints against them.

You would need to tailor tht letter to remove all implications of fdcpa if you are dealing with the original creditor.
