Can someone tell me if these guys are operating legally in Texas? I did a search and found the answer for other states, but I wanted to check on my state. Thanks!

Is this an internet? I went to the Texas licensee database and that name is not coming up as licensed. However, they could be using another name, but this one does not show as licensed in Texas.

So, they illegally lent me money? I live in Michigan. What can I do about it?

Regina, In order for a pld to be legal in Michigan, they have to be licensed in Michigan which as Kash stated above, they are in London, England so it is almost a sure bet they are not. What exactly are you wanting to do about it? Could you please tell us more about your situation so we can guide you in the right direction.

regina, any "verbal agreement" is not going to be a licensed/legal company. You have no documents, nothing showing what was borrowed, nothing showing how much they are going to debit your account, nothing. This is NOT legal.

Well, I cannot cantact them because they won't answer their phone. I'm trying to NOT have to pay it back. What do/can I do?

We do advocate paying back what you borrowed. Principle only.

Then you are done with them. It seems as if they did get the principle back.
