Seriously, how long until they take you to court

Ok, I'm sorry to be a pain this morning, but....I'm weighing everything and I'm wondering if you truely default and make no attempt to pay right away, how long will it be before they take you to court. It is not my intention not to pay, however I have 7 and everyone can't be paid at once. I still think I'll re-borrow on some and work on paying others, but if I can buy some time, I might opt for that.

Don't worry about asking questions! As far as re-borrowing- please think twice about that! Get some info on consolidation, if you want to first.

Also, I am assuming that the pdls are legal in your state and you haven't overpaid, etc.?

Are any of them storefront-sorry if you posted this and I missed it.

If they are store front ones- try to work something out- they tend to follow sttae laws and tend to sue. I dont' know what the time limit is when they do sue, though..good luck..karen

I'm sorry, I must've missed your other post too..I'm gonna feel like a real dummy if I find it right after this one!!

What makes you think anyone WILL take you to court? Have you been threatened? If they are storefront, they can take you to court..But if you communicate with them and let them know your situation, they may work with you. As for an internet lender..They are usually operating illegally, and wouldn't stand a chance of suing you.

And listen to Karen..Please don't re-loan..It can only make things worse.

well I just figured if it takes a couple of months to get them paid off they would take me to court. The store fronts. I have 3 store fronts and 4 internet. I know CashNet and PayDay1 are legal but I can't seem to find out if Payday Select and USA Payday Loan are.

As long as you are paying them regularly, I don't think they will take you to court..Just don't default on your arrangements. Honestly, in the entire time I've been on this board, I really think I have only seen 2 or 3 people get taken to court by a storefront..And that was because they failed to pay anything. Do what you can..something is always better than nothing.

Unfortunately, most debt consolidation places don't work with payday loans. But, some members have found companies that do. I know T&C is one company that many people had luck with.

Hi Lren. I don't know what state you are in either, but it is most likely that your internet pdls aren't even legal. Have you thought of letting those go for a little while and then working on paying off your storefronts? You could possibly get things under control that way.
