I received an email today from Tim Atkins...why does that name sound familiar? Have others here dealt with him?

Oh Volley, please do..I received an e-mail from him yesterday and today...Cannr and I were just pm-ing about him. I keep sending the same e-mail back but evidently he can't read or the manual has not told him what to write in repsonse. I will look forward to your response and remember I want copywrite permission.  Roxy

volley & roxy - Wednesday must be "Tim Atkins" day to email. Give me a friggin break!!!!!! I'm cracking up here!!!! Volley, reply to the email with your original pdl letter stating everything. Just send it. And send it every single time "Tim" sends you an email. Just keep sending it.

Yes! Tim Atkins is the name of all the collectors for Payday Loan Yes, Cash Net 500, etc.
Please do a search for Cash Net 500 here. You will read all about Tim Atkins. He is a jerk!
When I had my loan with Cash Net 500 they sent me that same email every week.

But seriously, every collection guy for that company uses the name Tim Atkins.
They are very difficult to deal with. It's virtually impossible to get a PIF from them. "Tim Atkins" even fought with the supervising examinor from my state (the guy in charge of pdl's). Fought with him on the phone! I never heard from them again after the call, but still, to have the balls to argue with a state offical????

Tree - Cannr advises to e-mail Tim back the sam pdl letter you initially sent in the first place. That is what I have been doing. Although, I love Volley's response much better than mine.

Tim Atkins was the name of the guy who screamed at me when I called to find out how much I owed Cashnet500. I asked if this was Tim Atkins and he said yes real softly..then I hesitated just for a second...before I could say anything he screamed "what do you want lady..speak up or get off the phone..I am busy!" At that point I just slammed the phone down and vowed to never call them again. That was over 2 years ago...I am surprised to see he is still working...it sounds to me like he's been cloned!!!

You guys who are being hit by "Tim", every email "Tim" sends you, reply by email the same damn letter you sent them to begin with. He calls you? Email him the letter. He emails you? Email him the letter. Over and over and over. (Unless you're volley, of course!) This way, they will eventually "get it" (duh) and maybe offer a response to your letter. Also, this way, you have total documentation (needed!) that you have informed these people numerous times of your stance regarding these loans. You will have documentation. Send the same damn letter over and over and over. If "Tim" does call you, hang up and just email the letter. It's not worth the stress of him screaming at you with his illegal tactics. Just hang up and send the email. He emails? Hit reply and send the letter.

Cannr- you do not feel strongly about this do you..I have even printed mine off each time becuase it has the date and time stamped on it...so does the incomming mail. I am going to have to buy a new accordian file this weekend..but hey I will have money

roxy, save EVERY email. I, too, have everything. Love the date and time on them all. Comes in sooooooo handy when filing complaints. Proof, proof, proof! Another file? Hell, get a box like I had to resort to! LOL!
