I originally took out a $300.00 loan. So far I have paid $180.00 in renewal fees. This leaves me with a balance of $120.00, which I am willing to pay. I WILL NOT PAY $510.00. HOw should I respond?? I have sent them emails and certified lettes in the past and have never received a response.

Where are you from? Do you know the legal status of payday loans in your state? I know One Click is part of MTE and I don't believe it is licensed anywhere.

why did loanshop/whistler agent tell me that PDL's laws aere governed by the state the office is located in. I too have an account with oneclick cash, and I've over paid already and want this account closed ASAP, but they want me to pay $455 on a $350 loan from November till now. I live in Alabama, but don't quit understand what to do, was she right about the PDL companies using the state laws where the office is located?

No.....they cannot pick and choose what laws they will go by. Some PDL's even have the gall to tell people that they go by UK, Ireland and Malta laws. Keep in mind, these people will lie, lie, lie to get you to pay.

Bublefan1 the first thing you need to do is CLOSE your current bank account, if you don't, they will debit it to death. Get another account at a totally different bank. If you don't want to close your account then you need to go to your bank (in person), talk to someone about getting a hard debit block on your account, ideally, it would be best to just close this account out. Do you reside in Fl?

Buble-I think I remember your case from another thread and your account is closed right?

Let them know tht you will send them a money order to satisfy the PRINCIPAL remaining balance of $120.00. At that time, you expect them to mark the account paid in full. send it certified return receipt, if you can, write the money order # down on the letter you send them, and buy a traceable money order from the post office.

Personally, if I were you I would try to cancel the contract. If you can't do that are you in a position to "repay" this loan immediately? If it is with One Click Cash, who is affiliated with MNE, not MTE, you will be hit with a $90 fee right off the bat. In short, you will owe $390 to pay in full, either immediately or on the due date. If you let is slide, they will charge you $90 every two weeks or monthly, whichever you agreed to. The sooner you can get this cleared, the better. Just watch you bank account and make sure you let them know well in advance that you will be paying in full on the due date. They are also notorious for "not receiving" your request to pay in full. And, make sure EVERYTHING is in writing. Good luck and keep us posted.

Well, if you have repaid what you borrowed than I would say it should end there but if you still owe money on the principal of the loan, morally, I would say you still have a way to go.
