I just got a call again from Larry Foster with Westbury Ventures. He was asking about the payment arrangements I have with SJM Marketing to pay back $200. He was a very mean person and I hung up on him. He said I can continue to hang up on him and he'll just harass me more. I asked him to fax me a copy of my agreement and he said it's not his fault I lost it and whatever...

What do I do? He said he was going to call the IL department of employment or whatever..

Funny thing, when he said who he was on the phone he started to say "un..." and I thought he was talking about United Cash loans..

Guys, I'm a freaking out and I know I shouldn't be..

Ok... After doing some research, there was a $200 deposit into my account on 8-27, same day as B&L Marketing. I have been emailing dustin at SJM and he said I-collect now has my account. I have asked him to provide me a copy of the contract since I 'lost' mine.

So... Maybe I do owe SJM. If I-collect has my account, why would Westbury Ventures have my account too???

I don't think Westbury Ventures deals with SJM marketing. SJM marketing goes through I-collect and they sent mine to United Pay services or Bass & Ass. I can't remember right now. But Westbury had my loanshop payday loan. I will look tomorrow for the person I worked with through Westbury, he wasn't too bad to deal with and he broke down what I still owed into 3 or 4 payments. And there was one week that I couldn't make the payment and he changed the date for me. He was kind of rough at first then he mellowed out when he knew I was going to pay lol. But I did still owe. I will post that info in the morning.

puddle will help you with more information. However, let me ask you this. Why are you still taking their phone calls? This keeps upsetting you and you're not getting any documentation. Can you not email your responses to them so that they will email you back? You need to get everything in writing. Like the comment he made about calling the department of labor (or whatever he was talking about). Stupid stuff like this. Let them put it in writing. When they have you on the phone, they are saying things that are illegal/untrue/threatening. You need to get them to only communicate with you via email or USPS, kristi. Try to do this, okay?

Please make sure you request a debt validation. I have been dealing with Westbury Ventures through email. They will contact you through email if you send them a C & D. I asked for a debt validation and have not heard anything since. They are a collection agency that has bought your loan through I collect. Be stern and let them know you will only talk to them through email.

I don't have his ext. number but here is his name and maybe he can help you a little better. His name is Wayne Shepard and the number for westbury is 1-800-859-6439. I know that your account is sent to one person and then they handle it but I do know that you can request someone else. It couldn't hurt anyway. But that is the person that worked with me on my account with them. Like I said before he wasn't too bad to deal with and set up arrangements with me and I have my PIF letter from him.

I'm going to PRAY they "got the hint". However, don't be surprised if they pop back up in the near future! LOL! Relax while you can. Just do not freak out when they try to contact you again, okay? Just come back here and let us know what's going on. Enjoy the silence from them for as long as you can!

Do not ever feel like you can't post on here and scream "HELP!" That's why we're here. And, we'll always be here for you, krist. And a pdl costume for Halloween? Just wanted you to know that I still have not heard from Westburry since I asked for the debt validation. These loans are so illegal I hope it scared them for a while. It has been almost 30 days since I asked for that and I have heard Zero! Let me know how things fair out for you!

lisa, what company? Westbury? They debited your account for $260? Did you ever receive a paydayloan off the internet? Also, what state do you reside in? They obtained your information somehow. Do you remember getting any loans off the internet or showing any deposits into your account?

I received this email from BBB of Delaware~

Quote:
I recently received a BBB complaint concerning Kristi's Westbury Ventures/Xpresscash account.

I apologize for any inconvenience Kristi may have suffered. Westbury Ventures is more than willing to arrive at an amicable solution to this issue. We have tried several different times to contact Kristi. We have received no communication at this time. Westbury Ventures is willing to settle Krist's account. We will cease all collections activity until we are in contact with Kristi.

I can be reached at 800-859-6439 ext 3234, or via email. Thank you for your assistance in the resolution to this matter.

Sincerly,

Brad Weathers

Collections Manager

Westbury Ventures
73 Greentree Drive #513
Dover, Delaware 19904
First of all, I got harassing calls from that Larry Foster dude. I don't recall a pdl from Xpresscash. So, do I send a Validation letter or what? Apparently SJM is NOT Westbury Ventures.. I have tried to find this company who deals with them, but no luck..

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
