Do you think it would be wrong of me to report a pdl if I got a refund from them. I had gotten one from the loan shop and I had not reported them to anyone yet. After all that the pdls have put me through you would think that I would not think this is wrong but part of me does. What do you think??

Mj, I can see why you would think that. I kind of felt that way too...they did refund my money so in a sense they made it right for me. I did report them and did also add that they did make things right. I wanted the complaint to be on record becuase I decided to stand up for myself, but what about the others who never find this site and pay them hunderds upon hundreds of dollars on a 2 or 3 hundred dollar loan.

He had sent a form for me to sign and fax back to him. Basically it was stating a whole bunch of things that I could not do like a class action suit. He did confirm in an email that I had my account paid in full. But I have to admit I never did send the signed copy back to him and he never contacted me again.
Do you think that means that I can report it if I have not signed anything. I will look in my email to see if I can find what he wanted me to sign so someone can look at it.
Thanks!!!

Forgot to ask...When you report to the FTC what do they do against the companies. Can they help with refunds?

Mandy, Did you talk to Mashburn? If so I did to. I had to sign the same thing. I did it so I could get my money back. Did he pay you the entire overpay or did you settle for less. He wanted to pay me 165 on a 330 overpay but I got him up to 200. Better than nothing I guess.

I did talk to Mashburn via email. He had sent that he would offer me $200 and I had to sign the contract and he would deposit the money. I had over paid by $960 or so. I told him that I would not except $200 and I would except $520 which was a little over half of what he owed me. I also demanded that a money order be sent overnight. I also wanted a confirmation email stating my account was paid in full. I got the money the next day although it was a cashiers check not a money order. He also sent me the email I requested. I NEVER did sign the form and fax it to him and he has NEVER asked me where it is. To be honest I kind of forgot about the paper that should have been signed. He never requested it again so I have not signed it.
