I'm writing my cease and desist letter to the PDL companies. Once they try to debit my account and realize that it's closed, how long will it take them to start calling me and my references? Any Advice

They may start contacting you within a couple days of returned debit. As long as they can reach you, or at least a voicemail even though they usually don't leave messages, they won't contact your references.
