How do you find out if a loan company is authorized in your state.

Were you ever able to get a hold of star cash processing? They have deposited money in my account and I am concerned.

UPDATE

I have managed to settle with one company (yee-haw!), but am still negotiating with the others. StarCash is virtually ignoring my admonition to not call, but I've learned their number and do not answer. I send the same e-mail back to them each time. PDMax has blocked my e-mails, so I've took to faxing them. Ameriloan - difficult to deal with, but am sticking to my guns.

Of the ones I still owed principal on, they are working with me to pay them off.

All in all, it hasn't been a difficult process at all. I do have a couple of store front loans still out, but they are local folks and have been a pleasure to deal with.

I'll continue to update as I have more information.
