I have been reading some of these threads ,and i just wondered if it is better to use a consolidation company or just try and settle my payday loans myself.

You will save more money doing it your self. If you are willing to do the dirty work. If you would rather let some else do all the work than using a pay day loan settlement company is ok too. Its like fixing your car . You can do it yourself but do you have the time and knowledge . Either option is good.

I did it myself, how many pdl's do you have, are they internet or store fronts? Store fronts more than likely are operating legally and you will need to contact them in a timely fashion as they will and do sue.
Please let us know what state you are in and how much you have borrowed and paid back. Mobile is right you will save money doing it yourself but it does take alot of work, but if you only have a few of them you can do it yourself.
