Payday loans places need to be shut down. I just got with Langhorne debt solutions. These payday loans are doing everything that Langhorne said that they will do. I have a total of 20 loans. These loans was taking all of my money. I will pay some off and had to get another to pay my monthly bills. I will never get another loan. They are definitely a trap. I have done research about people and payday loans. So many people had to filed bankruptcy because of these places. I did not want to file bankruptcy but I did not know what to do. I am so happy that I came across Langhorne. Now I am paying Langhorne $700.00 instead of paying $4,000.00 a month for payday loans. These payday loans places are a trip. My loans was not in default. I call these places to try to work something out with them. No one will work with me. Now that my loans are in default and I have hired Langhorne they calling me to make arrangements. These people are ruled. I get ruled back with them. They say we are going to send your information to collections. I said please do. Mypayday loan with call, e-mail and text you. One girl slip up and said that she will have to give my account to the manager. They are not even the managers. They hell with those places. I was so stressed out. My bank account never been overdrawn. The month of June was a bad month for me. My bank account was over drawn by 1,000.00. This is when I said this is enough. I was trying to get myself out of this debt, but I was getting deeper in debt. I am going to let Langhorne work on my behalf. I have a peace of mind and have money. I am able to pay my monthly bills on time and not worry how I am going to pay my rent. They are going to tell you that they do not work with Langhorne. I tell them that I am going to pay them, but it will only be through Langhorne. I tell them if they do not work with Langhorne they need to send my account to collections because the only way they are going to get their money will be through Langhorne. |

I was just wondering who this Town and Country company is, I have heard of Langhorn and they seemed like a great company, but you said Town and Country make monthly payments, wouldn't that be faster and keep them at bay ?

Google T&C on this site and read up on the posts. You'll also get contact information for them. I doesn't hurt to compare the two companies. You can call each one and see what they can offer you.

HI
Also What I did is got rid of some of them so my monthy payment was not that much. I took a week and got 3 paid in full's thanks to this site. Lower my payment by $100.00. Now that the payday loans are getting taken care of I'm working on my Credit cards. Just a suggestion. Cindy |

Town and Country is one of the few debt consolidation companies that will work with payday loans, both internet and storefront. They charge a $210 start up fee then you pay them weekly and they pay your debts for you. They are located in Birmingham, Alabama. I have spoken to them personally and they were so nice; however I did not retain their services as I decided to fight the payday loans on my own.

Langhorne are a bigger bunch of crooks than the pay day loan companies!
I used to pay Langehorne and found out that they would pay only a portion of what I paid to them over to the loan company. I paid more than $500 over 9 months to Langhorne, but was STILL contaced by GFSIL, who said I could have settled with them directly for half that! Grrrrrrr! |

Um, maybe you don't understand Langhorn's service . . . . They do not pay your creditors monthly. They have you save up X amount every month into a special account, and when you have enough they will negotiate with your creditors to settle the balance. And yes, it is not a free service. You will end up paying money to Langhorn that they keep.

You just have to be prepared to have the money saved up to pay the settlements they come up with. It is a good idea to try and settle some on your own and then the Langhorne cost is not as much. You will be surprised how many you can settle on your own.
I was with Langhorne and had paid some of these PDL companies many times over what I borrowed and the settlements seemed high to me. I was able to get more PIFs on my own. They did not seem to push for that. |

Thanks for posting your experience, motomom! It's always good to hear from people who actually have used these companies. Like you said, sometimes (if you're up for it), it's worth it to "take it on yourself" when dealing with pdls. It doesn't cost anything as far as money goes - but it takes a lot of sweat and work! But, it can be done! Thanks, motomom!

I personally did not like the set up that Langhorne offered and I really didn't like the person I spoke with. It was going to cost me tons more than it has by doing it myself. Like cannr said, it takes time and effort but it can be done. I am not totally out of the woods yet, but I will.

No problem cannr. I think sometimes we are overwhelmed with this whole mess that we don't weigh our options and take the first life line with promise. I think the best first step is to contact each one and see if they will work with you and if not move to plan B if you have one.

Can you call them and ask for a payment arrangement BEFORE you have to close your account? Will they work with you before going into default?
