WOW I am so sorry to hear this is going on. A lil advice hear, the best way to handle these PDLs, and most would agree is too "CLOSE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT". If you do it ahead of time everything works out and you have control over your money. Unfortunately, the "HARD BLOCKS" and whatever else they call it sometimes may not work. It is better to just close your account and open a new one in another bank completely to escape these loan sharks! If they still retrieve your account info then that is a BIG mystery to me, but it is also a LAW SUIT!! Best of Luck to you.

I have a question about these payday loans.. I found some information from www.indianajustic.org. It give pretty detailed information about payday loans and what is and is not allowed. However, it does not state if it applies only to storefront loans. Do the same laws apply for internet loans? Or do they get to pick which state's laws to follow?
Thanks!
Jen

Default too deep in pdl's

I have gotten myself so far in pdl's I cant catch up. MY husband has no idea what I have done, because I thought I could get a handle on them, but I just got deeper in debt. My Credit is already shot. I am in a serious state of serious depression. I just want to get out of debt for once in my life before I die. I am not strong right now. Is there anyone out there that knows who can help me put them all together and pay them off that way? ops: :?

Mone , take a deep breath. I know it can be overwhelming but it will get better. We are here to help.
First off what state do you live in ? Also can you name the Pay day loan company's names and balances ? Are these loans local or internet ?

Hi all,
I feel like I'm making a nuisance of myself. I am hoping someone can help me here. Maybe I'm going about this wrong. I am trying to find out how I can deal with the problems of my 3 pay day loans. I'm a single, working mother, and it's near impossible to make ends meet. I want to fix my situation and put my son and I in a position where I don't have worry how far I can stretch my measly $30 for groceries. It's all very overwhelming. I would love to learn how to take back control of my life and lose the stress that is making me sick. Any suggestions would be fantastic.

Hello guest , we need you to post the following info to be able to assist you.

1. List the companies you have the loans with and whether it is a store front operation or an internet operation.

2. List the original amount of the loan for each account

3. List what you have paid so far for each loan.

4. List what state you currently reside in.

Default payday loans

Have anyone tried pdl assistance? I know that they charge you a fee of $200.00. But , i did not want another company to take some more of my paycheck.

Jen,
I too am a single mother that got involved with the PDL nightmare. It is totally possible to get back control of your finances but you have to be strong, or at least pretend that you are. these people prey on the weak and they try and break you. Most of them are operating illegally so you have the upper had. Don't let them intimidate you or push you around. Read through the posts here and follow the steps outlined. Before you know it you will be on your way to financial freedom. You are not alone and there are so many people here to support and guide you. If you want specifics you can PM me and I will tell you exactly what I did. Keep smiling, you are in control!

I would try and settle on your own if you want to save more money.
Langhorn debt solutions , PDL Assistance and any other Pay day loan settlement companys charge basically around the same fees. By the time you pay their fees you wend up paying back 70%-90% of the original debt. But the do stop the cycle of ludicrous interest.

PDL Assistance or Langhorne or any other pdl settlement company will work with you to establish a savings program that will be used to pay off your debts over a period of usually 6 to 12 months. Both PDL Assistance and Langhorne hold the money in another account so they make sure you don`t spend it when you need to be saving it to use to eventually settle with the pay day loan companys. You will have one monthly payment and the amount you will pay back is typically between 30% and 60% of the amount owed when you joined the program. These companies have bills to pay just like you so yes they charge some fees up front and it could take 60-90 days sometimes for your first settlement. You will save more money doing this on your own and this site has all the info you need if you want to try and do that. But if you don`t want to deal with the hassle of settling on your own you may want to hire a company like PDL Assistance or Langhorne to help you but expect it to take a little longer to rid your self of the debt because you will pay some fees to these companies who do all the dirty work for you. Hope this helps

Default Working With PDL Assistance

I live in Maryland and I have 7 or 8 payday loans! I enrolled in Langehorne and my initial contact person was nice but my client services rep was aliitle short and rude. So I called PDL, so far so good, I just paid my enrollment fee and my 1st monthly payment is due on the 13th of this month... I hope I am doing the right thing... I felt TRAPPED and needed help. What makes some of them legal vs illegal- mine are all internet.

Darkcoco126 - All my loans were internet also. Just my opinion ..say your money. Try and get a refund from PDL Assistance. I was going to use them but after I discovered I had already overpaid on most I my loans I decided to do it on my own with the great advice I received here. I am no expert you have to do what is right for you. On the loans that I had not paid the legal amount I owed I sent letters stating why I only owed them X amount and they all said ok once you pay your account will be marked paid in full.

You see when you use one of those companies you are paying back fee that you should not be. You are also paying for the service. And it still does nnot mean the loan companies will not harass you. List your loans here and let everyone know what state you are from. There are many people here who are more than willing to help you. I can understand being afraid of the loan companies harassing you. I was, and I had 2 of my loans sent to collections. By the way they were both way overpaid. The collection company is now returning the loans back to the loan companies becuase I overpaid. It is hard work and will take time and patience, but the results are far better doing it on your own, not to mention much more cheaper.

Just my opinion.

I signed up with PDL assistance as I have 4 PDL's currently. They are charging me $200 set up fee and $131 to pay off my PDL's over the next 12 months. I finally did the math...the total is $1772. I have closed my bank acct and these PDL's have defaulted. I called Think Cash and Advance America and have made payment arrangements with no problem. I have two more that I need to call and make payment arrangements with. The total I will pay doing this myself is $1459...I will save $313..I think that is worth the effort. PDL assistance has my old bank account info so they will not get my money if I can do this myself. I will be PDL debt free in 3 months!
