I too signed on with PDL Assistance about two months ago. Seems like most of the money goes to fees. Has anyone really had any sucess with these outfits?

Can someone please email me at email address removed per TOS rules, and for your protection, by Shazzers for help with PDL Assistance? I have been enrolled for a couple of months, but I can't see where they are helping me at all. I would rather not tell all my amounts publicly, but if someone can help me figure out how to do this myself. I would be thankful. I have 6 loans, some of which I have been extending for well over a year. It was ridiculous, so I enrolled with PDL back in September. I closed all accounts and got rid of my phone to stop the calls and this month, I closed the account that PDL Assistance has to prevent them from drafting and getting more of my money. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I have just enrolled in PDL Assistance. I have 7 internet loans. They have explained everything to me in detail. Fee's, and payment process. They even explained I could cancell at any time, but my money would not be refunded. Has anyone had success with this company? My fee's every two weeks were almost $900.00. I gave them a list of amounts and phone numbers. I should be debt free by the end of the year. I have called several times in a panic situation and they even explained how to handle the creditors phone calls. It is worth to me to pay the fees if I can clear this mess up.

I just talked to someone at PDL Assistance, and when I hesitated about using them, the woman hung up on me! I WOULD NOT recommend PDL Assistance!!

DORENE, you can search the forums to get more information. Some seem to have luck with them which others were disatisfied.

I signed up with them but after thinking about it, how stupid was it to spend all that money in fees?! And then when your educated on pdl's and laws its actually easy taking care of it yourself.

If its the calls and harassment your scared of, just know that any settlement company can't stop that.

That is very true. Enrolling in a PDL consolidation company does not garauntee peace of mind.

I signed up with PDL and was completely lied to! I was told not to worry about closing my account or getting any phone calls. Unfortunately, that is not the case. They have cost me over $200 in bank fees and will not refund my money

I have four loans & they are all store front. I have put stop pays on three of them-two for checks i wrote & one that is EFT. I had started the enrollment with PDL but put it on hold because I am just so far behind in my monthly bills that I can't afford the fees. It will be at least two months before i can even think about enrollment. Is there any way to do this on my own?? I owe:

Quik Cash $531 so far I have paid $720 just in fees
Advance America $535.50 & so far I have paid $1,140 in fees
Western Shamrock $636 paid $200 in fees
King of Kash $780 paid $720 in fees

I live in MO & need to get out from under this ASAP!!! How far can they go to collect?

Can these payday loan companies have me arrested for issueing a "stop payment" on the checks i wrote to them? I think they are trying to scare me & the prosecutor is out right now so i can't ask them.
