i am currently a client of pdl assistance and they are a buch of crooks!! i am being garnished from my paychecks because they have not been handling my business, which makes me wonder what they are doing with my money.. they are causing me more stress than if i'd handle this myself. i spoke with many different people and noone seems to know whats going on. it has been one huge ordeal after another and many, many empty promises..stay away from this company!!

I just heard an advertisement for them yesterday here in AZ, I am so glad I never got involved with them.

Mad Guest - Were you summoned to court for a garnishment or is it a wage assignment? Wage assignments are revocable by you. Your employer should be able to help with this if they were not court ordered to withhold money from your check.

I signed up with this debt consolidation service and found out that they had been taking my money but not settling my debt! My accounts were now 10 months past due and I was out almost $2000! My advice call each company and work something out. With the recession, most companies are more willing to work with you than before.

Store fronts are legal . You can go in prior to defaulting and request the EPP (extended payment plan). This enables you to pay in 4 installments. PDL assistance does not seem to have a very good reputation

How can you tell what PDL companies are legal or not. I have 2 PDL's, and was thinking about calling that PDL Assistance, but by the time you pay your fees, you are just as well off paying off the PDL's. I would just like to know which ones are legal and illegal.

I also had several PDL's out at 1 time, 12 to be exact. the first thing I did was went to my bank and told them my situation, they put my account on a hard hold, or on a deposit only setting. I then waited, freaking out about all of the "Harassing" calls I would get....and Nothing...It wasnt until about 4 days after that I finally got a call from one PDL company, the trick with them is to be honest, and upfront with them about your situation, answer their calls and don't be rude.
So far I have 6 of my debts in settlements and am making payments on my own terms, and 1 already paid in full. You can do it yourself, it just takes time, patience and confidence. Don't be bullied into arrangements you can't afford, and don't go to a settlement company like PDL assistance or Langehorn Debt solutions. Try it on your own!!

I took out a 100.00 loan with Pack Managment back in March. To this day they take 30.00 dollars out of my account every two weeks. To this date I have paid them 300.00 amd they said they will continue to take 30.00 out of my account forever unless I fax them to take 130.00 dollars out to pay them back. I am trying to get my bank to stop payment to them as I feel I have more then paid them back.

You are on the right track Victoria.

First secure your account by placing it on "deposit only" status or just revoke ach payments to that company altogether. The only way to stop them is to secure your account. Otherwise they will take and take

I am currently working with PDL assistance and they have been very helpful. Only a few Payday Loan Companies keep calling but they are trying to get the full amount from me rather than PDL making them settle for something or nothing. PDL is very anti-payday loan in the sense that they explained to me that I should be able to settle my payday loans for a lot less, because I already overpaid on my payday loan from the APR I pay on doing it once, and falling into doing rewrites, they make a ton off the consumer. Rewrites are like standing in a pool that is filling up with water and being able to dump it out with a thimble. It just isn't going to get you anywhere.

I have been working with PDL since March of 2009-they've been great. They call me to check in once in awhile and give me a status update of where they are at with loan settlements. While the initial $200 enrollment fee was high, it was definitely worth it when the harassing creditor calls stopped and the ACH debits stopped me from overdrafting. I've saved more money this way than I probably would have on my own. PDL does take time to work but they are already working on a settlement for me (I had 4 PD loans out). Initially it seems like they don't do anything for you while they debit your account (my bill to them each month is $177), but they need to wait until you accrue enough funds in your rocky mountain bank and trust account in order for your collectors to start negotiating a settlement.

Their customer service has been satisfactory-I never speak to the same person but they all have been helpful in helping me to understand the process.

YES. Just make sure you have $200 for your first initial payment. Then they consolidate everything for you into one low monthly payment. It TAKES TIME, so don't expect immediate results. The creditor's phone calls will stop almost immediately after you take the right steps (just follow the instructions they give you in the welcome packet-fill everything out and fax it back to them ASAP so they can start working for you).

Trust me, I was weary at first...but they are working on my first settlement now and I only have three more after that. I'm sure you could try bargaining with your loan companies if you don't want to use PDL, but it takes time to reach an agreement. I'd rather have the professionals do it!
