Amazing how many "satisfied customers" of settlement companies feel compelled to post on a self-help board.

I have a contract currently with PDL assistance, however i am still getting notices and calls from collectors, and they have taken $1000.00 of my money and not settled any of my loans, and now that I am trying to cancel the contract with them, they are telling me tha I cannot. I would just try to settle things on your own with the companies, and not go through this service. Had I know they were going to be like this I would have tried to deal with things on my own.

Don't sign up with a PDL... you can settle your accounts yourself... I did and i had 9 internet loans. PDL will only take your money. Call and settle your accounts yourself and you will save so much money. Close your accounts first and they will make the next move.

I have been enrolled with them for 18 months now and have settled over 1/2 of the accounts. They have given me good results and advice in how to deal with the pd loan crooks who pose as different individuals to scare you to pay them. Ive kept very good notes and kept in good communciation with them. I would recommend them most definitiely

I actually first signed up with these guys but canceled the next day. It will be a year since I first defaulted on my internet payday loans. One 2 out of 10 were legal and I just settled those two myself this week for 60% of the principle balance.

As for the illegal loans. I will overpaid them and I get a few calls now and then but nothing I can't handle. With this website and a little confidence, anyone can settle their own PDL mess. Also, its best to make everything in writing... even with legal lenders.

I just got off the phone with PDL Assistance. I was so excited when I signed up for their help back in July 2010 that I had found a company to help me get out of the pay day loan trap I had gotten myself into. I followed all of the rules of the program and paid faithfully my $119 every other week. Now I am being told that they only paid one of my three loans, a debt for $390 when I signed up was settled for $214. There are still two loans outstanding one which was $390 when I signed up and is now over $500, and another that was $1319 and is now over $4000. The call today was to let me know that of the $1747 I paid in total they want to know if I want the remaining $420 back so I can deal with my other two creditors myself. Otherwise they will continue to charge me the $29.95 per month and see if they can get through to the creditors. I called the larger creditor and was told they have only heard from PDL one time and that was on 2/22/11 when they faxed a settlement proposal offering $461.72 on a now $4000 debt. They have taken $843 from me that I could have used to pay my creditors but now I'm just out that money and instead of them helping me they say "don't worry about them because they are internet loans and they cant sue you or garnish your wages"...Oh so I'm supposed to just jip them and hope that you aren't lying to me now like you did when I signed up for this program?! THOSE OF US WHO HAVE BEEN SCREWED BY PDL ASSISTANCE NEED TO FIGHT BACK...ITS TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT!!! ANY TAKERS, PLEASE EMAIL AT luv_zu_mo@yahoo.com!!!!
