as did one of my references. Of course, mine to voicemail with the urgent message to call them back. It's 8:10. . .still haven't done that. My one reference did answer the call (he recently had surgery and was napping) and told them that he hadn't heard from me for several years. I've informed the other reference of the situation and asked her not to answer unrecognizable phone numbers. If she does, deny, deny, deny. Anyway, I think they said they were calling from SMPD? Anyone know of this organization? Ameriloan is done, USFastCash is working with the BBB, so I am thinking it is one of my Canadian or Costa Rica friends. Input? Thanks a bunch, my friends.

llw, I tried to search the acronym but there was nothing on the site and on google got mostly police deparmtents...did you try to search the number..or if you post the number, we can help you with a reverse search.

Roxy. . . I believe it was 866-645-1661. I am sure it is connected as they also called my friend, and there would be no connection to him except for the PDLer's. Thanks for all your help.

Roxy. . .took a few minutes to punch in the number and it came back to MyCashNow, exactly as I thought. I guess it's a number to Credit Protection Depot and supposedly for making arrangements. Arrangements my foot, I've already paid $301.00 on a $300.00 loan. The only "arrangements" I want to hear about is the one that gives me a PIF. I might just give them a call some time tomorrow and see what they have to say about the situation. I'm a pretty reasonable person. . .let's see how reasonable they are. Thanks again for all your help.

llw955 - this has been one of my big worries, contacting the references. how long was it before they started doing that to you? They can call me all they want..I will document all the phone calls with times and dates and save all the messages. They don't need to harrass the references.

Roxy. . thanks a bunch. I have an account with both PayDayMax and MyCashNow so I am not sure which one they are calling about or perhaps both. I did send a copy of the letter I sent to both of those yahoos, via email, this morning and I am waiting for it to be returned. I am also faxing a hard copy of that same letter over to Mr. "I'm everything in this corporation" Reed just for his information. God will this ever end! These people just keep cloning and cloning! In the words of my dearly departed Grandmother, they are like horse s**t, all over the place!

whiterock. . . .I thought I had posted this already, and if I did, I apologize but I don't see it. It only took a few days after they were "stiffed" to start calling me and my references. Both of my references were aware of the situation and I asked they not answer any calls that they didn't recognize and if they did, by accident, not to acknowledge who they were or that they even knew me. I am more concerned about phone calls at work. Good luck on your journey!

If they start getting phone calls it is advisable for them to write C&D letter to the PDL? Or just ignore the phone calls

llw, I would use the fax number for Discount Advances too...since both companies came up under that phone number. It can not hurt.

Well I faxed a copy of the letters I sent to MyCashNow and PayDayMax over to Mr. Reed at CPD with a cover letter stating that this information had been sent to them on February 18, 2008 with no response. I included a note that the information contained therein was to apply to them as well. That was at 5:30 my time, 2:30 theirs. Can't wait to see what the proposal will be next time. Still no word from Star Advance. I just keep hitting the send button on those letters every week hoping they will get good and tired of hearing from me.

Wow! Actually, I'm surprised to hear that they are calling your references. Honestly. These guys must be friggin crazy. I never, never had any of my internets call my references (and they are illegal for me also). You've got a hard a$$ on you. Keep up the good fight!
