Good evening to all,
I got a call today at work from "Mr. Bruce" at Sonic payday. I have never speaken to someone so rude before in my 39 years of life. This gentlemen said
(1) you have defaulted in your loan, pay the loan and take the cash(yeah sure!) (2) I'll give you two weeks to pay the whole balance ( your so nice) (3) I am going to call your payroll and immediate Manager to explain you write back checks(  i do all the time) and 4) last and not least, I am going to have the police come to your house and arrest you, garnish my wages, blah blah blah. I said SIR, listen to me he would not stop. How are you going to do these things is you are located in Malta? He hung up the phone!
I guess all the advise of everyone in this forum made me stronger to talk to these people. I want to mention again - Thank you for all the emails, suggestions and support posted. You guys are great.

Linda, I am so sorry you had to go through that at work! Now aren't you glad you revoked that wage assignment? They will probably call payroll, but won't get very far, thanks to that.
Stay strong and start a file with all contacts detailed with them, dates, times, names of the rep and what they said. This will help in your claim with the Florida AG--and I know that they will be interested in it.

LOL, "how are you going to do these if your located in Malta". Nice one, that reminded me of the move Patton with George C. Scott. A german officer tells field marshall Jodl that Patton is now located in Malta and Jodl exclaims "Malta!?"
Okay maybe its only funny to me, but I got a small chuckle out of it.

Sonic Cash is so full of hot air that it is almost funny. Stay strong with them like ks said and file a complaint with your AG. I am glad you contacted your payroll dept. They didnt waste any time calling my job trying to exercise their wage assignment. Don't let this jerk intimidate you!!!!

And do what I did when I had to deal with them: call the police in your town to see if there are any warrants in your name, and when they tell you there aren't, throw that in Mr. Bruce's face the next time he calls to harass you! Call his bluff!
