Default PDL Help in South Carolina

Hi,
I have been reading theses forums for the past week and decided i would just ask all of you for a more step by step walk though with what i have going on. I currently have 4 PDL' in default in South Carolina.
Advance America 600.00 (on and off for over a year)
Quik Cash 600.00 (on and off for over a year)
A-Z 300.00
Carolina Payday Loans 300.00 (most recent)
I recently stopped payment on all of these because i was falling completely behind on rent and utlities. Advance America offered me a EPP which is still to high at the present time because i need to play catch up with my utlities. Quik Cash would not work with me at all at first then i receieved a call from their supposed new manager saying she would extend me but not give me a EPP. A- Z i have not spoken with yet. Now Carolina Payday is a NIGHMARE! As stupid as it was i took this one out to pay the intrest on the others. It was my first ever loan with them. By my next paycheck i had gone though the no sleep...scared of what i would do next payday and how i would pay rent. I decided at that point i was in so deep the least i could do was save my home. The manager at Carolina Payday has accused me of fraud and says she is going to a solicitors office. I did not lie to her at all however i did not call her everytime she requested because she wanted me to go take out other loans to pay her. What should i do now?

It is not fraud.

Debt is a civil matter not a criminal one and criminal action against this type of default is prohibited in SC.

They are making empty threats.

The one thing they can due is sue you in civil court but I beleive that wage garnishment is not allowed in SC. They can garnish banks accounts though.

My advice is to get money orders and send them to the corprate and pay what you can to get them paid off as soon as possible.

Just remember that if you are looking to change jobs many companies are now running background checks on perspective employees and a credit check is part of the process. If you should get taken to small claims and they receive a judgment, it will show on your credit and may provide a reason for the perspective employer to find a "more qualified" candidate. Call the Corp Offices and try to avoid any further action.

You can't really do much to stop the calls, remain pro-active with these lenders, rent and utilities come first.
