I just got a deposit in my account from St. Armands. I was not expecting it. I had applied for a PDL online and got one from some people who called and verified my employment and bank in a three way call. I did NOT speak to or apply for a loan from St. Armands. I got their name and phone # from my bank. I have no idea what they are going to try and charge me and frankly I'm confused as to how they can do this without ANY verification or acceptance from me. I have called repeatedly only to be on hold then offered to leave my info to be called back. I have not touched those funds. What can I do?:D

Two things....do to your bank and have them return the funds immediately.

Keep the funds. They are an illegal lender so you will only have to pay back principal. Follow the link in my signature line on how to deal with them.

AR, AZ, CT, GA, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, PA, VT AND DC
OH AND NH have very restrictive low cost interest rate laws.

I have started receiving calls that the funds were not returned

I have started receiving calls that the funds were not returned contrary to the email I sent them and that they would be charging my account from this week's end on. What should I do?

I did speak with my bank and they informed me zi have to go in to the local branch with a written request to have funds returned as an unauthorized deposit. They also suggested I close that account because if they can deposit, they can also withdraw. Do you think it's necessary? I hate to close it as I have part of my paycheck deposited there.

That was not my rersponse about the email. My response was Ms B. I read your links and decided to stick with my original plan to return funds. I will go into my bank first thing tomorrow and have funds returned. Close that account and open a new one.
