go talk to your payroll department, wage assignments are voluntary only, the only way they can legally do this is if there is a court order. explain to your payroll person what is going on.

who said ? the payroll dept ? i bet you it isn't a court order, ask your payroll for a copy of the order...this concerns your money, you have a right to see it.

Yes, you're right. I will. This is so embarrassing though.

don't be embarrassed, things happen. all I would do is tell them that you are disputing this order and you want to see it. You may also want to state that this is voluntary and legally without a court order tremont can not do this...can you let me know what state you are in and how much borrowed and how much paid so far..thanks

Legally they can do it. Wage assignments are legal documents. The thing is that they are voluntary, and can be revoked. But - It is much harder to revoke after the fact. It's really something that needs to be revoked before it is used.

It's going to be hard to fight now that it is in effect.

What state are you in?

Ok, this is the response from my payroll dept: We did not receive a court order for the employee's wage assignment with Tremont Financial. We received a wage demand along with the notice of wage assignment that is signed by Keyah Hicks.***Ok, I don't remember signing it but I guess Im just S.O.L until it's paid, huh?
