I just got an email from gf about 500fastcash. She emailed emailed them last week with the help of a template letter I got from morningstarr.....she said she got a call at work from a "william" and he started harrassing her about how she didnt make a payment and she told them that they werent even licensed in her state and he said they didnt have to be- they dont go by her state laws they go by OK laws? Now, I thought that after she told them in her email not to call her place of employment they were suppose to follow it? Also, arent they suppose to go by OUR state laws not theirs?

I forgot what state you live in Tweets! In most cases it is the state you live in! Pennsylvania being one exception. Emails are a waste of time. The person who reads it, deletes it and it is if it was never sent. Certified mail is the way to go.

Tweety in Indiana they are to follow Indiana law...a lot of the ipdls do not pay attention to the C&D letters we send however it is good to have the paper trail for our complaints with the authorities, etc. This is a MTE dba and we all know how perisistant they can be...just have your friend tell them she is not allowed to take calls at work and as such they are breaking the law...she can work with them through email.

Hi all. I agree with Frogpatch. Emails are a waste of time with this company. I had to deal with them and I had some luck with faxing. I must've sent them 5 or so emails and they never, ever responded. They responded when my account went into default and I sent them a fax. (Probably the default had more to do with it than the fax!!! Smile) But still, your friend might try faxing and certified mail.

They responded to a couple of my emails saying to call them and that I had to follow their rules. After emailing them again FLorida's laws and reiterating that I would only talk to them via email or USPS, they sent me this response:

Quote:
OK, we will take this as a refusal, and your account will continue per the contract. We will not respond to any further email demands, you have a good day!

Of course they had it written in big bold blue letters.

They are a bunch of illegally operating companies that I refer to as a scumglomerate. They have no legal way to collect so they harrass you until they give up and sell you to a collection agency known as ARM that can't validate the debt. Get that certified cease and desist letter out to them. Then file a complaint with the FTC if they don't stop calling. I am sure by now that the FTC has received dozens of them.

Hang on. 500FastCash is not even licensed/legal. Whose laws are the "claiming" you have to follow? They are not even licensed in THEIR state. They are licensed nowhere. Personally (and you know how I feel about anything MTE related) I would tell them to go fly a kite. They are not even lending legally, and they have the nerve to tell you what state laws to abide by? Oh, I don't think so. You would be very generous by paying that what your state allows. You can just pay the principle. You can actually LEGALLY not pay them a dime. This is why I get so hot under the collar regarding anything MTE. People are paying (or offering to pay) the principle amount of the loan. They are an illegal company. They should be glad to get that. Because, in all honesty, they have no legal recourse to collect this debt. They are not licensed/legal at all. Tweety, tell your g/f to tell them to stick that in their hat!!!

OH-OH!! I got Cannr going again! Laughing Seriously though that is why I am not paying any attention to them. I thought it funny. But their comments did put them to the back of the line to get paid. And I ain't going to cry about it.

Sorry, pyb! There goes the blood pressure! How dare they "claim" and "threaten". They can't do squat if you never pay them a dime. Nothing. Zippo. Zero. So, they need to watch their "attitude" when it comes to people offering to pay the principle amount. They are lucky to get that. Ooohhhhh........ Just burns me up! You know, I guess this is why they're still on my butt after all this time. I can't control myself, tell them exactly what I think, that makes them hate me (oh, so sad), don't agree to anything they "offer", etc. I'm not taking any kind of settlement from an unlicensed/illegal company that is threatening, lying, and harrassing. Okay, I'll calm down now.

tweety, tell your g/f not to take their calls. Good Lord. Talking to them is enough to make a person go to the "funny farm". They're so full of it. Tell her not to talk to these illegal people any longer. If they want to deal with her, they can use email or USPS.

Oh, don't get me started on USFastCash. There's another good for nothing illegal one. If they're calling her at work, is there any way she can get someone else to say she "no longer works there"??? One way to get rid of them. If that's possible, that's the best thing to do. If they think she doesn't work there any more, they're not going to call back. They'll call her home/cell phone, but she can just ignore that.
