I live in Arizona; I ahve 12 payday loans-5 are strorefront, the rest are 0n-line. I am facing eviction and now have no choice but to close my bank account and I am signing up w/payday loan consolidation company. My q is this-since 5 of my loans are backed by an actual check, which I am going to default on, can I be prosecuted in AZ for bad checks?

i am unsure about AZ laws but how much have you paid back and how much was borrowed? which companies are these? i am pretty that storefronts require you to make arrangements before you default but someone will be around to clear that up. a consolidation company really may not be necessary, this board has helped many people clear up dealing with lenders - legal and illegal - on their own and we have great success. in the end it will save you money on your own.
