I may have mis stated somewhat...I asked her for the account number given to the bank and she verbally said the # of the old account.

Hey Egypt, Goudah is totally right take care of your living expenses first. I know exactly how you feel, that panicky feeling. It usually sits in the pit of my stomach and I just get so scared that it will never go away. I still have that feeling with my PDL situation, but I do know from experience with other things in my life when I have had that feeling, it does go away. Things do get better. And I have to believe that things will get better in this situation also, if I don't believe that I would go completely crazy. That's all I just wanted you to know you are in my thoughts!

Hey VB Mom...I agree. This site was a lifesaver for me when I needed it most. Things are moving along for me....3 out of 5 gone! The other two are dragging their feet but I can handle it as I know that they, too, will eventually disappear.

egypt, that is not true. What this storefront is trying to do is get your butt in there to rewrite. Yes, maybe she did call the bank to see if funds were available; however, that account is closed. She can check the funds availability all she wants to. The damn thing is closed! And, she doesn't know you have a new bank account. I'm sure she ASSUMES that you do; however, she does not know for a fact that you do. Hell, I had a new bank account. Did I tell my storefronts that? Hell no! And the only way she can take payments is if you have a current account? Because she wants a new check from you. She is so full of it. She's trying every trick in the book to get you to rewrite. She wants her bonus money, egypt! How's she going to take that vacation if you won't rewrite every two weeks! Listen, if they have to (which they don't), let them turn it over to friggin collections. Good Lord. At least they would be off your back and you would have payment arrangements. They are just harrassing the crap out of you and trying to strong arm you into rewriting. The cycle has to end. If it means going to collections, so be it. Let it fly. At least they'll work with you and hopefully not feed you a bunch of crap like this chick is doing. Now, isn't this storefront on the CFSA members? Am I remembering correctly?

I almost blew it when I asked what account number she gave them and she replied the one from the check you gave me. I told her there is no way the bank could have told her that because a couple of weeks ago I told her it was closed and it was, so I had no idea short of a mistake that they said it was open.
Also I do not believe she went to my bank with a cashiers check becasue it is about ten miles from her store?
I think she is playing games like you said Cannr...I told her I would check back with her. But she is not getting a check from me. And yes they are CFSA? Does that matter per state or what?

egypt, there is something stated in the CFSA regarding "state laws pertaining" or something along those lines, which I honestly don't understand. Hell, I just saw my storefronts on there as members and went in and invoked the EPP. I didn't have a problem. I can post what the CFSA actually says. You can see the part about the "state laws". Don't know exactly what it means, but you can read it and see if you understand it better than I do!

If she takes a cashiers check in under my name alone, can the bank give it to her from my new account? How can she gointo the bank with a cashiers check anyhow?

Well I read it, but now that I have already defaulted, I cannot do the EPP per the CFSA guidelines. This should not mean that I cannot offer them payments and that they will be accepted right? She implied that there would be no paydown otherwise. What does she expect? Me to waltz in with the entire amount or as above can she go to the bank with a cashiers check in my name?

How in the hell would she be able to get a cashiers check in your name? WTF?? Unless I'm missing something here, the chick is on crack. Have you filed complaints against these yahoo's yet? Totally insane. God, I wish they would just turn you over to collections. Hell, you could make payments. A cashiers check? She said she was going to take a cashiers check in your name to the bank and cash it? Is that what the chick on crack said? Am I lost here?

Thanks Socks and Cannr....I really needed that. I have no idea what she is talking about. I could not even wrap my mind around this.
Today I have to call these yahoo's...several of them and tell them my check was less than expected and I cannot come in there with the money they are expecting...that I will have to set up a longer and slower paydown...which is true. I think they only paid me straight time for an extra day I worked. My husband even said that the worst these guys can do is take me to court....then I will make payments.
I just wish this whole mess was over.

egypt, you are doing great and you instincts are good too. I know things are difficult right now. Trust yourself. Did you try to set up an epp and they would not work with you or did you default first? If you tried and they refused, you can file a complaint with the CFSA. Hang in there. You have learned so much.
