I am going to have to default on some of my storefronts before I have time to pay off some and arrange further paydowns.
I did a stupid thing in that I sent off my house payment early so it would get there on time. Instead of deposting my check as they usually do, they ran it through the day they got it. I had money in the bank to cover the checks I thought would come through, but it left me $500 overdrawn. To make a long story short, I have about $400 worth of overdraft charges on all the small checks which came through last night.
I do not have the money to go in and rewrite the checks that were due today. One I have to pay $460 and I cannot rewrite the second check for two days....these were the ones I had to wait on while I paid off a couple. That money that I have left will have to stay in my account for other checks/payments I wrote.
None of those checks are on my new account, so if they send them through it will just come back to them.
I had not anticipated this happening until I could get the amount I was paying others on a paydown done.
What should I do? Tell them to send the checks through if they must, try to work something out as it is the day they are due?
No sleep last night.

Gosh...what a mess...thanks Roxy. I am not really certain anyone can advise me. I had a few due today and some on Tues, but it won't matter. I had a scheduled payment of $115 with one of those who agreed early on to a paydown.
I talked to one gal yesterday who is with CFSA and she said that she *can hold my check until Fri., then she *has tosend it through*

I am going to have to go pick up my daughter at College and will be gone a couple of hours. I am not going to contact these places until I hear from Cannr, then. I mean, I hardly see at this point that I have any recourse?
BUT you guys will be proud. I first thought to *borrow* money just one last time...but that is why I am in this mess.
(One highlight of my life...my daughter got a full scholarship at a very good college...She wants to be an intellectual property attorney...she got a 4.0 average her first semester...yaaaaa!)

How Awsome!!! A full scholarship and a 4.0. That is wonderful. And...I am proud of you for not borrowing. That is awsome too! I know it is difficult not to fall inot old habits.

Yeah...I am trying hard not to break my arm patting myself on the back...arghhh. I mean about not borrowing.
My daughter is a real go getter and I am very proud of her. I know she will not allow life to bulldozer her like it has me.
But you know, even in the worst of this I am beginning to feel some hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Do the math...before the interenets, I was paying out 1200 in fees every month...I can pay that for three month's toward principles and be out of debt...on PDL's any way. then I will tackle the internets...so maybe in five month's instead of YEARS?
think so?

congrats egypt! I know the stress that comes with having kids in college. I was very fortunate as well. They were A students and got much of what they went for paid in full. That's a great feeling. They are now a psychologist and a biotechnologist. Keep up the mind set as far as the PDLer's go!

Thanks for the encouragement llw...I am soaking it up like a sponge. I actually think that me, who is never ill and exposed to all sorts of *bugs* as a nurse, have developed an ulcer over this mess. I know my stomach has hurt very badly over the last few weeks during this *severance* and anxiety that has gone with it. I am a classic worrier as it is...I follow what Erma Bombeck used to say about worry "Why should I give up something I am so good at." But it has gotten me no where? This site has illuminated things that I have not seen on my own?
I know you ae so proud of your children. I have an older son who works for Mercedes too and they are both responsible, STRONG, kids. Hopefully they have learned from rather than suffered from my poor financial judgement...although my daughter is still expecting someone to come break my legs or sever my fingers?

egypt. . try not to let them get to you. It would appear that there are more and more people on here complaining that these guys are coming after "old" loans. Makes me wonder what condition the PDLer's are REALLY in. One can only hope that they are feeling the heat.
