I live in Columbus, Ohio
I am looking for some advice. I have 13 store front payday loans which I have defaulted on all of them. Here they are:
Ace cash $460
National Check Cashers $687
Always Payday $687
Checksmart $631 + 25 return fee/ paid $471
Check N Go $599
Express Payroll $599
Check Land $480
Quik Cash $480
Check Exchange $402
National Cash Advance $422
Advance America 575 + 25 return fee/ paid $312
Allied Cash Advance $575
Purpose Money $631/paid $326
For NAtional Check Cashers and Always payday I have broken 3 arrangements. They said if I dont pay Nov. 30th it goes to legal. Express says I must pay half by Nov. 30 or it goes to legal. I can only pay about $200 to express on Nov. 30. Ace says just get something in or it goes to legal and you could face criminal charges. I am not going to be able to start paying Check N Go or Check Land until the first weekend in December. I am going to continue paying the ones I have started paying completely off. Now, how can I fininsh the rest off. Any advice? Will I go to jail? Can I be brought on Fraud charges (I did freeze my account for no debits, checks included) Ace said it came back account closed. I cry just about every night and am close to having a nervous break down. I dont want to go to jail!

Here are the Ohio laws. From what I have read on here store fronts are normally always operating legally so you should try to make arrangements with them. I would suggest being up front and honest, hopefully they will work with you to get these paid off.

mvosu....Welcome...and PLEASE note: You are not going to jail. We do not have debtor prisons and it is not against the law to owe money. Have you contacted each one?? Have you considered looking into a consolidation program?? As a member you can take advantage of the free consult by signing up on the front page. I know I have read about 2 companies on here...Langhorne and T & C that both work with PDLS. In the mean time you need to call each one and explain the situation and offer what you can as payments. See who will work with you and who won't. One thing to note: Usually when you default (as you already have) the interest stops allowing you to just pay off the balance on the loan. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

We have a member here that also resides in Ohio and can give you advice as to what kind of action can be taken in your state. Hang on and I'm going to send a pm to this member. We didn't forget about you, okay? Just hang on and you'll get help!

Try speaking with a debt consolidation company there are some that are consolidating payday loans. Maybe you will find one that is able to help you

I was in the same spot as you was once and had loans at every place you listed except for Purpose Money & National Cash Advance. Back in April or May I signed up with Town and Country and they have help me out. There was soooo many I knew I couldn't do it myself. All these companies will say pay before this date before it goes to legal. I never closed my checking account though so that may be a difference between me and you. This is how a few store front turned out for me. Checksmart and Express should send you to check mediation which is nothing. You work out a payment with them. Check N Go and Allied will probably send you to a collection. Quick Cash is allowing me to pay $25 a month to them (to their corp office). Ace is taking $50 a month from T&C and Check Exchange is $12. I'm also from Columbus so if there is any questions I can answer let me know, I was in the same spot as you are.
