I am seeking assistance in getting out of the payday loan trap that I happen to find myself in.
At present, I am indebted to 4 storefront PDLs in Los Angeles, CA; they are:
Continental Currency Services, $300.00 (Total paid $1200.00)
Check Into Cash, $300.00 (Total paid $2400.00)
E-Z Payday Loan, $300.00 (Total paid $1703.00)
Nix Check Cashing, $299.00 (New)
At this point, I have run out of options and would rather not close my checking account. Actually, I would prefer to pay these loans; however, I could only pay what I can afford. Nevertheless, I will do what I must to get out of this trap. I would appreciate any assistance that you can provide.
Thanks

Hi Musician, sounds like maybe you have reloaned a bunch and that is why you paid so much? Since they are storefronts there is no point in closing your account since you probably have to go in and pay them every week anyway ( paper check). Can you check and see if they are members of the CFSA and if so will they agree to payments? I live in Ca myself but have never heard of those storefronts. I am in SF though so almost like being in another state LOL. We are here to support you just hang in there and others will be by with more info for you.

Songbird/Musician1-Starzgzr and I are both in CA....
Have you defaulted on these storefronts yet? If not, please take Srargzrs advice and ask them for the EPP, Extended Payment Plan. You would need to ask for this at least 2 busines days prior to the due date and it allows you to pay in 4 installments to pay it off.

I am also in Northern CA--
Of the storefronts you mentioned, I'm pretty sure that Check into Cash is in the CFSA, so getting that one taken care of should be no problem. I'm not familiar with the other ones--they must be only in Southern CA.

Wow lots of Californians here maybe we should ban together to get them outlawed in California. Think Jerry Brown is up to it?
