Besides...One Step is not licensed. I would ask again for their licensing in any state?

Good for you...unfortunately I posted a couple of times while/when you posted this letter?
Thanks for the Prayers...I will say that in reverse and send some to your family!
I am by no means up to speed on any of this, but I figure I can at least offr an *atta boy* or encouragement when possible.

This is from the BBB website:
One Step Cash
150 S. Highway 160 Ste. C8 #526
Pahrump, NV 89048
Type of Entity: Sole Proprietorship
Phone Number: (866) 431-2274
As of 2/19/2008, the Bureau has been UNABLE to confirm this company has a valid local business license for the locale in which they operate. IF A CONSUMER DOES BUSINESS WITH AN UNLICENSED FIRM, THEY DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK.

I checked Nevada's licensee database, nothing comes up for them. Please ask them for their license number, the name they are using to operate legally, and what state they are licensed in. Good Lord Almighty. These guys are jokers.

i have closed my account my account and geneva roth did contact me after i sent them a copy of the certified letter they refused via email the said they will honor my c and d letter they said they will honor it untill the matter is sent to their fraud dept and legal action is taken
i know this is bs beacuse they are not licensed anywhere. i have explained everything to my boss and he know what to do if people call hang up right away.
my payroll deptment informed that they do not honor any wage garnaishment not issued through the court in the state of which i reside. the calls are annoying but i can handle it.
this is the first month in a very long time i was able to pay my bills on time and have a full fridge now my family wont have to suffer due to my mistakes ill get through this and i know it will take time

Steve I can not tell you how it chokes me up to hear you paid your bills on time and have food on the table...if the truth be known tht is probably why most of us got into this mess...to pay our bills on time and feed our family. Isn't it a sad state of affairs? Like going to the Dr. to get well and catching something worse while you are there?

The fee for the $300 is $90 so if you have paid $360 you only owe them $30! Whenever you can send them the $30 and tell them that is all you owe them!

Ah, steve! I saw the letter you sent. Great job! I actually pissed a couple of my pdls off when I asked for them to provide me with their license information. Hey, if they can say "We're licensed in a state", then they can provide WHAT state and their license number. I don't think that's asking for too much!
And, congratulations on getting a paycheck and paying your bills and having some food in the house! Isn't it a wonderful feeling? I never thought I would be HAPPY to pay my bills, but damn, I was thrilled to make those payments! Great job so far! And your attitude is what it needs to be - positive! Because, steve, you will get through this.
