I have a friend who took out a pay day loan online @ mypaydayloan.com . Are they licensed to lend in Tennessee or are they an illegal pay day loan company?

that's tricky mobile, you see TN is what i call one of those states.meaning if they have a license anywhere in the US then you have to follow the laws of the state of license.PA is this way as well.personally i think it suxx, but if they have a license to lend then you go by those laws.

How can I see if they even have a license to lend at all ? I know a lot of internet lenders are illegal and are oversees and don`t even have a license to do business in the US let alone Tennessee.

my computer is limited here.if you go to the TN AG site or the dept of financial institutions page for TN they should be able to tell you if they are licensed at all.
