Hi, I live in Pennsylvania and I work in New Jersey.

I'm caught in the loan trap too. :(

These are the loans I have:

OneClickCash:

Principal Amount: $300.00
Amount Paid So Far: $400.00

MobilLoans:

Principal Amount: $500.00
Amount Paid So Far: $224.00

Great Plains Lending (Installment Loan):

Principal Amount: $1000.00
Amount Paid So Far: $1351.40

Plain Green Loans (Installment Loan):

Principal Amount: $1200.00
Amount Paid So Far: $1221.40

I'm terrified about what will happen if I take actions to put a stop to it. I can't take much more of this.

first none of these are legal in any state much less PA where pdl's are prohibited.you overpaid all but one.go to SOAPLADYS signature.it has all the info you need.follow every step the first being to close your account.btw the only thing these illegals will do is call and threaten illegaly.wecan help you when that happens.go to the sticky and pay the one on your terms, not theirs.

What about this quote from this post in the "State Payday Loan Laws Made Simple" thread? Which can be found here:
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/showpost.php?p=218515&postco...
"Internet lenders can lend legally to PA residents as long as they are licensed in another state. They would need to follow the laws of the state in which they are licensed."
Does this still apply? I'm confused now.

that changed in 2009.that is an old thread, and is being revamped by ohiogal when she can,but they did away with that loophole in 2009.no pdl is legal especially the ones you have.

Correction about the OneClickCash loan, the amount I paid back was $320.00 on the $300.00 loan.
However, $50.00 of that was toward the principal and $270.00 was toward the "Loan Renewal Fee". Is there a way around that?

PDL's are ILLEGAL in the following states...
AR, AZ, CT, GA, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, PA, VT AND DC
OH AND NH have very restrictive low cost interest rate laws.
SOL for all states

I sent my first ACH revocation letter to Great Plains Lending since that's the next one that's due. I put a something in the letter about Pennsylvania Supreme Court Case Cash America Net of Nevada, LLC v. Pennsylvania, No. 68 MAP 2009 in my letter. Do you think that'll help.
I've heard other people here have sent letters to Great Plains Lending and haven't gotten a response from them.
While, I still haven't heard back from Great Plains lending, I logged into my account and saw this message:
Your GreatPlainsLending account is currently flagged as having an invalid bank account number. Without a valid bank account number, we are unable to electronically process your payments or refinance.
Please contact Account Services toll free at (877) 836-1505 to update your bank information and have this flag removed or to make other payment arrangements.
Once we have updated your GreatPlainsLending account information you can return here and process a payment.
I also sent off my ACH revocation letter to Plain Green Loans this morning. Also I mentioned Pennsylvania Supreme Court Case Cash America Net of Nevada, LLC v. Pennsylvania, No. 68 MAP 2009 in my letters if that would help any at all.

I got a response from Great Plains Lending regarding my ACH revocation letter:
Dear *************:
Your correspondence has been directed to me for review.
Pursuant to your request, we have removed your contact numbers from our system and we will make no further ACH debits from your account. Your account has been closed from further activity.
Now, I'm still waiting on Plain Green Loans.

I just got an e-mail back from Plain Green saying that they will consider my account paid in full. :D
I guess mentioning the Pennsylvania Supreme Court case in my letter was enough to scare 'em.
