Sub: #1 need help with flobridge pdl
I started this pdl with cash pdl, I made two Payments interest only to them on the third payment I waited for them to deduct from my checking account two paychecks, They did not so I called them to find out that my pdl went to flobridge, The one company split into two companys. I close my checking account because they in default of my agreement with them.
I called flobrigde to find out why they didnot take anything out for a months time, They did not have an answer for that and they told me I still owed the interest for that time frame. I told them that I was only going to pay the amount of the loan which is 300.And they wanted it sent electronicly. They sent me e-mails threating to contact my neighbors and freinds and to contact my employer.I have a copy of their license to lend
and it states they can not lend out of state, I am in iowa they are in utah. Now they have started to garnsish my wages, and they want 950,They did not take me to court to do this by their own admission, but on my paycheck it says court ordered. I have talked with the state of utah and Iowa , and they told me this is not legal to do without A court order.
I talked with my employer which is a large corp, they told me that this company could do this in this case because of some 1996 act.I have yet to find such law.Understanding the contract, I should of went to abatration first which did not occur. Is this legal for them to do this, they are an internet pdl, This company is not license in this state. nor any internet online pdl.

You need to revoke the wage assignment that you have signed to stop this automatic garnishment. It is a voluntary agreement and can be revoked by you anytime. You need to notify both the pdl and the employer that you're revoking the wage assignment.

Also, you must read Shazzer's post about dealing with illegal lenders.
