OK the calls started again at 5 this morning. They left yet another inspiring voicemail. I did call back and left a message. Told them that I had contacted total lending and they gave me the number to their collection partner. I did contact ICollect and their voicemail states they are a collection broker. And any correspondence is to be done by email. Can anyone enlighten me to what a collection broker is. And could they have been the ones to give the mean people my information. I did tell the mean people to not call again. I just don't want this all to start again. The AG did call back and stated that I wasn't going to jail and they weren't legal in Oregon.

I have a pdl with them too. I have over paid them as far as what I need to pay, but not as far as they are concerned. I sent off my same old letter, the one that states that payday loans are illegal here in Florida and that they are not licensed. The whole thing. I let them know that I have filed with the AG and the BBB. We'll see what happens.

Mom, I not sure what a collection broker is however, I typed I Collect in the search box in the top right corner of the page and there were quite a few posts regarding this company. You may want to try reading those. They seem like really ugly characters and apparently they like to threaten jail. I am happy to hear your AG answered your questions regarding going to jail. Anyway, reading the other posts may help you deal with them.

mom, if you can get Total Lending to pull your account from collections, they will most likely settle for the principle amount of the loan only. I had a loan with them. I dealt only with Total Lending, agreed upon the principle amount, sent them the money, done. This collection agency they've forwarded your account to is apparently illegal also. Please, keep in mind when dealing with these people that they are not licensed/legal. That helps put a little more courage in you when dealing with them. And, more than likely, the mean people got the information from Total Lending. I don't know if these companies buy & sell accounts to collect or what. If this is the case, that's how they have all your information. All the information you gave to Total Lending (which is a lot) could be being passed from one hand to another hand to another hand. Scary feeling. But I would try to get Total Lending themselves to deal with you. They know they are lending illegally to you. If there is any way, contact Total Lending AGAIN and ask that your account be pulled from collections & you'll pay only the principle amount. And be sure to inform them of the fact that you have filed with your state agencies and have been in contact with them regarding their company. It will probably help light that fire under their butt & settle for the principle amount & call the "dogs" off. (Oh, I mean the pajama man).

He called yet again before 5 am. Twice this time and left a message both times. At this point I haven't returned his phone calls. I did send an email to total lending about taking my acct back to in house so that I can settle the principal amount with them directly. I also stated that they collection area they sent to may have given my information to another party, which is the pajama man that is harrassing me. We will see what comes of it. It's wearing me out.

guest, please keep trying with Total Lending. The pajama man calling you at 5:00am is breaking the law. I'm so sorry you have to put up with this. Do you have a telephone number for Total Lending? It might be worth a phone call instead of an email.

mom, if you have to change your number. I had to. It was worth the "charge" of getting a new phone number. Let me know how you make out with Total Lending. Tell your friend that a Purpose loan is probably not a good idea. I want you to go to the search box up in the right hand corner and type it in. You will read posts about it. From what I've read, it's almost (not quite) like a Cash Call loan. Please read up on it and then let your friend know.

Mom, sorry that you are going thru this.
5am OMG. As cannr said, you may have to change your number. My whistle trick may work. I had a problem once with someone harassing me on the phone. I bought a cheap plastic whistle and kept it near the phone. When this person called I blew the whistle as hard and as loud as I could right into the phone. I mean I really blasted him right in his ear. After a few times I was left alone.
whatever gets you thru

Well total lending emailed me back and said they weren't able to resolve this issue. Once they sold the acct they weren't able to do any more about it. They also claimed that they were not affiliated with "I Collect". I did respond to her by telling her that the information from "I Collect" was given to me by someone from their office so I wasn't sure how they weren't affiliated. Also told her that had I done furter research before taking the loan in the first place I would have known that they were neither lisenced or legal in the state of Oregon. Which probably means that whoever they sold my acct to was neiter legal or lisenced either. I didn't have any calls this morning but I'm sure it isn't the end. I'll just continue to report them. I have been saving the nasty voicemails they continue to leave in case I can figure out someone who can do something with them to get them to stop calling for good. I would hate to change my number but will if I have to. The one good thing is as of yet they have not called my work number. Knock on Wood.

mom, okay Total Lending said they could not help you any further, as they have turned your account over to collections. Did they happen to mention who the collection agency? Since they are denying that it is I Collect?

Have you talked to Mike yet? You want to give him a call, and talk to him, if he hasn't called you yet about the complaint you submitted.

Seriously, please call Mike. The Oregon Dept of Banking takes this stuff very seriously. They will call these companies on your behalf and give them an earful. Please, you don't have to do this on your own. You can make that state work for you! Both Pokogeo and I have received a ton of help from them!
