Has anyone ever dealt with the collection department of this company? Mr. Harris called me at work today and left a threatening message on my voicemail, then called me a liar. I was so po'd that even though I didn't want to, I called him back and got into an argument with him. He told me that the reason he called me a liar was because when he called my place of employment and I answered the phone and pretended it wasn't me! Can you believe that? Anyhow, he told me that he is going to call my supervisor and payroll department and expose me. Come on.....he's definitely using scare tatics. Maybe he will call my supervisor, but I turned him into the PA Attorney General's office. He was the rudest person. When I told him I didn't appreciate him calling me names, he told me he can do what he wants. Has anyone ever dealt with that company and how did you handle it?

You will find other posts about him on this site. I am surprised that he has not been brought down by law suits yet. Just ignore him. He can't do anything!

They are Cashnet 500, aka Global Financial Services crew.

There is not much they can do except make annoying phone calls.

Watch out though,they might attempt to "Download" you!

What do you mean "download"? I turned him over to the PA State Attorney General. I may have said that already in my original post. How can he threaten me like he did? What killed me was he said he was going to "expose" me to my co-workers. Then he called me a liar. I saved the voicemail.

It is good you saved the voicemail! Save any and all correspondence you get from him to cover yourself.

You can use the search feature on this site and see what others have done with him, or what they do.

Alot of them use threatening tactics to make you panic and pay them, even if the debt isn't yours.

"Download" is a common threat from these illegal PDLs. I have been threatened by them on several occasions with "We must receive payment by 4pm or you will be downloaded" WTH? If you ignore their phone calls, they'll eventually give up. I tried long ago to get them to settle an account with me, on the grounds that internet PDLs are illegal in my state--they said they would call my boss and "expose your check fraud scheme". They also refused a letter from my AGs office when I filed a complaint. You just have to not engage them in conversation--they will overtalk you, yell, curse, (I had one say I was an "idiot")
They'll eventually go away.

i am trying to settle with about 4 of them, have told them that they are illegal, and they just keep ignoring that part. i just received another email from them today. i am thinking about what i want to say back to them. i had asked a question about debt Val. letters in a different thread and am waiting for a response to that then will go from there.

Whiterock...when they contact you, just keep giving, sending,emailing the same thing over and over. Eventually they will stop calling and then will stop emailing. As for the debt validation letters, you do not send those out until you are contacted by a collection agency. Which may happen. I had four of my pdls turn me over to collection agencies. If that happens let us know and we will help you with it.

whiterock just keep at it.these pdl's have had it good for so long they still play games instead of just admitting they are wrong.like roxy says if a pdl turns you to one of there CA's let us know and we will help. Very Happy

I apologize. I did not mean to scare or confuse anyone.

Most employees of pdls are quite ignorant in their speak.

One of their famed tactics is to threaten an individual will be "downloaded" to their "county courthouse."

They want people to believe they have a direct line to the individuals courthouse.

The actual term would be to "upload." (We all know what they are uploaded with!!!!)

I was just contacted by someone of Kristin Swanson Mace law firm who said they are working for paydayloan yes and she threated me with criminal and legal charges and assured me that I would be doing jail time. I told her I still do not have a validation of this debt which I do not recall. How can these people threaten this stuff? I would not be able to sleep at night.

I sent them a cease letter and they have not bothered me anymore, but I did run my credit report and they are on my credit report along with Cashnet USA.

Is there anyway to get the illegal pdls off of a credit report? I know they can be disputed but does that really work?

that's easy moto,they are totally illegal.they have no legal recourse,so they try and scare you.kathy has it right on.send a DV along with a limited C&D letter.
