For all of you Md people. Please read all the posts in this thread. There is good advice. Payday loans are illegal in your state. That said means you are not legally obligated to pay them anything. We recommend you repay the amount you borrowed only. Since they are illegal they will hit your bank accounts over and over. If you can, shut the bank account down. Then send out letters to them ( people here can help you with the letters after you close the accounts). Also be sure to file complaints with the BBB, FTC and your state attorney general. Best of luck to you all.

Payday loans are 33% and they are non renewable in the state of md even over the net. Let me know what you need help with. The best way to file complaints are MD attorney general's, Federal Trade Commisiion, and Maryland Finance Buearu, MFB will help you the most.

I received 3 payday loans because I was in desperate times, I have paid them each well over the amount owed, however that was just the renewal fee. Nevertheless, I had to shut down my account because two of the ocmpanies their payments went from $90 to $180 each pay so I was paying double to renew the loans. When I spoke to them they claimed it was part of their terms and conditions. I asked for the terms and conditions but didn't get them, I got the dial tone.
Herelately, I've been getting calls from a 302-791-9666 number. I googled it because the person never said anything to me on the phone. It was a Verizon Landline disguised as a payday loan. Someone answered the phone claiming to have the same name as me but, hung up on me when I said I didn't have the money, called it a refusal to pay. So I called back so that I could get her full name and supervisor, the next woman asked for my number but I asked to speak with Andrea and then afterwards I would ask for a supervisor. She said “you’re calling here with no money and you expect to get all that information? Bitch!” Then proceeded to hang up the phone, I called back this time asking for a manager. The same thing happened when I talked to Tim Stanley. After reading your posts maybe it's because they know that PayDay Loans are illegal in MD. |

Using the "B" word really shows you how legal they are.
