TN Fee Laws

What does this mean?

They can charge 15% of the face value of the check in fees.

Rollovers are not allowed.

Internet companies do not need to be licensed by TN. As long as they are licensed in another state they can lend legally. They must follow the laws of the state they are licensed in.

So, help me a little here. My internet payday people are not allowed to charge me more than a $30 fee for a $200 loan since I live in TN?? Every single one of my loan fees are at least $60...so, technically I could just pay them the $30 and be done with it?

Thank you!! Smile I have already done the first step of closing out my bank account. I sat down today and figured up that I have paid over $800 in nsf fees in the past month b/c of the mess I have gotten myself in!! I now have my list together if anyone would be interested in advising me on my next step(s). I have been poring over this forum for the last 2 days, and it is SO overwhelming to figure out what I need to do next!!! Should I post my list here or in another thread that probably deals with the companies and what I owe/have paid?? Thanks again for help in advance!!
