I have sent out C&D letters last week only had two responses so far still waiting on 2 more. My question is how long should I wait to hear from them and send another request for PIF and refund or am I better to just let laying dogs lay?
If u gave them 48 hours to respond then wait the 48 hours and resend. That's what I did. After the third time....I stopped contacting them and sent my complaints to BBB and AG.
I get the feeling that you are dealing with illegal PDLs here. There is no time limit on contacting them. If you don't hear from them in a week, send them another letter. Rinse and repeat till you get desired results. It could actually take months.
There is no real point in filing complaints with the BBB. Instead, you should file complaints with the FTC as well as the AG.
Yes all illegal PDL... Ok will send out my second round of demand letters today. Thanks for all the information on this forum it is so helpful and empowering!
I'm confused. You said you sent out cease and desist letters but then you said you're waiting to hear from them. If you sent them a C&D and they comply, you shouldn't ever hear from them again.

It varies from lender to lender. Some you'll hear from soon, some you'll never hear from again, some you'll hear from as soon as they realize they can't get at your money and some, will pose as collection agencies and/or process servers and call threatening to have you arrested.

By signing up for counseling session, your provided details (Name, Email ID and Phone No.) will be forwarded to the company advertising on the DebtCC. However, you have no obligation to use their services.
Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the pay off amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.

Did you mean you sent revocation letters?
