After telling the bill collector from United Cash Loans that I don't have the money to repay, he yelled and screamed at me over the phone.
I hung up on him. He then called me from his private cell phone late Friday (2-1-0 from a bar. He called me several bad names, including 'faggot,' 'loser' as well as other derogatory remarks. He continued to call all night until I blocked his number. I managed to save a couple of these messages on my answering machine, as well as I have his full name and phone number on my caller ID List. He even states his name on the messages he left. I don't know what I can do about this, so if anyone knows how i should handle this, please feel free to reply ASAP!!! Who could've known that a 200.00 loan could be so harassing!!??

United cash loans is part of MTE, and they are horrible,and also very illegal. Not licensed anywhere. Send a c&D letter aand close your checking account asap. Read the sticky on the pay day forum to see if you can close your account with no problems.Please let us know what state you live in, and also how much you have already paid back.

I agree...UCL's are terrible. Do as kashzan said and post what state you are in, also how much you borrowed and how much you have paid them to date.
You know, I caught part of a CSI Miami, I believe. It showed aggressive collectors on there and I thought, yep, that is just what they sound like and how they treat people. Burns my butt that they act this way. It is scare tatics. I wold never treat someone that way.
Jamall ~ if they keep harrassing you, you may want to consider getting a different phone number also and have it unpublishes and unlisted.

WoW! I can't believe that that sucks!
I know when I got a loan from them in 06 there was a man by the name of Dan Buckley that helped me, he was always pleasant to me, but I guess thats because they were getting my money, and when I defaulted I closed my acct and changed jobs, so I dont know if they are even still trying to contact me or not, I think that I should file something just in case....this was back in may of 06
