United cash loans is scaring me to death!

Hi I'm from Virginia and new to the forum. I would appreciate some advice....I'm very afraid right now. I can't eat or sleep, or even do my job.

I closed my bank account due to too many payday loans. United cash loans has been really frightening me with emails and phone calls saying that "my ACH debit was not honored by my bank and was returned for insufficient funds, which could result in a special and unavoidable circumstance." I'm so scared right now, I don't even know what to do!!

I contacted T&C two weeks ago, sent them a payment, and have just started to get things rolling with them. I'm trying desperately to get things back on track again. What is the best way to handle united cash loans in this circumstance?

Many thanks to anyone who could help.

miss, United Cash Loans is notorious for trying to scare people. First of all, in your state, no rollovers/extensions are permitted. Which, if you had a loan with them, I am sure they charged you rollover/extension fees. Second, United Cash Loans is not even licensed in your state. Third, you're using T&C to clear these up. If United Cash Loans keeps contacting you with their "nasty" emails, respond back stating that T&C has taken over your loans and for them to contact T&C and give them their phone number. Don't let them scare you. You'll be okay. Just refer them on to T&C. They are not even licensed to lend to residents in your state.

Thanks for your advice. I've been so scared about being thrown in jail or something awful happening.

I'm really glad I discovered this forum. If it hadn't been for this place, I would have never known to contact T&C.

Would it also help you feel better to know that criminal action is prohibited in your state? Do not be scared. There are MANY members who are dealing with United Cash Loans. And, I'll tell you right now, they basically tell everyone the same thing. Blah, blah, blah. LOL! Laughing Please don't be afraid. You're working with T&C. United Cash Loans is illegal. You're okay. I hope to goodness you can sleep now! Whenever you have a question or you get scared or you get another idiot response from these people, just post and we'll help you out! Very Happy

Don't even talk to them on the phone. It just fuels them even more to call. When the email, like cannr said, just email them back telling them you are dealing with T&C.

I tried to email them back a few minutes ago, but the email came back to me as undelivered. Not sure what to do now.

My mind is not working right tonight, anyway, if I were you, I would go ahead and write them letters stating that you have revoked your authorization for them to debit your account, any wage assignment you may have signed, for them to contact your employer or your place of employment. You can also quote your state law and let them know that they are operating illegaly in your state by charging you rollover fees and the fact they are not licensed in your state to lend. They will give you a bunch of BS, but don't let them scare you. They are not going to put you in jail or anything like that. Just hang in there. Everything will work out.

Have they emailed you recently? If so, just do a reply to their message. Oh, if you do get through, let them know that you will only communicate via email or USPS so that you can have a record of what has transpired between the two of you.

How much did you borrow from them and how much in rollover fees have you paid them?

miss, I don't know what email you're trying to contact them through, but if it's being returned, try
compliancedepartment(at)unitedcashloans.com
The compliance department email usually goes through.

Oh thank you for the email address! I borrowed 300 from them, and I'm not sure how much in roll-over fees I have paid, but I know it has been a lot.

Check your bank account and see how much you have paid. Very possible you have already paid that loan off and then some. I know they don't give refunds, but at least you will know whether or not you owe them anything else.

miss, listen to 2nd band. On a $300 loan, they are more than likely charging like $90 in fees? Sound about right? Illegal. Try to figure out how much you have paid them so far. You'll have that ammunition to fire at them.

Yes, I've been getting a lot of $90 fees taken out, and it does indeed add up to over $300.

There you go! Add up from when you received the loan, how many times they debited the $90 from your account. Probably every two weeks? Every week? That's how much you've paid, and you don't owe a penny over $300.00. Don't get sick now! We all kick ourselves in the butt after looking at all the money these pdl's have gotten! You need to file complaints. Have you done this? And have you done anything with your bank account so that they cannot debit your account any further?

I really could kick myself in the butt! I've never filed a complaint, but would surely like to know how.

As for my bank account, I closed the account this morning; however I was unable to close it out before the ACH debit to UCL was denied because my balance was already negative. I suppose that is why I've really been scared they would charge me with writing a bad check.

That can't charge you with that...and they won't ...I had a loan with them too...and refused to answr any of their calls...dealt with them just through email..please don't worry...all the ipdl say all kinds of things...and yes...go ahead and comlppain...the BBB and the AG of your state...if you have paid over what you borrowed then you really do not owe them anything more...
