bmblbe, the e-mail address I have is "compliancedepartment@unitedcashloans.com".

llw, I haven't sent a second $300 payment yet--I used the money to take care of others, so any payment I resend them will need to be a partial--maybe I should just wait until I have the full amount, but I'm afraid that they will just keep tacking on fee after fee. I do have their settlement offer of $300, but it had an expiration date on it.

Perhaps when I call them this afternoon, their "collections department" will agree to accept my partial payment. I just want this over and done with; I just don't have the money to pay in full right now.

I understand completely. Since I got involved with all this nonsense, I have become quite good at robbing Peter to pay Paul. If you do wait, they will definitely keep adding on fees and they will probably tell you they will need to do that no matter how much you send them. As for their expiration dates, that's a bunch of bunk as well. It just proves how illegal, immoral and uncaring they are. I, myself, would call them and see what you can arrange. The bottom line is, they are illegal and all you owe is what they deposited into your account. Drive that fact home. Keep us posted.

Thanks Saxy. I was lucky with them because I sent them one letter and they returned with a PIF. But since I overpaid them by over $600 I want my money refunded. So far I have been able to get all my over paid fees refunded from other companies except them. I will try that email and see if I have any better luck. Thanks again.

Well, I ended up on the phone for 25 minutes yesterday with UCL--I called three different phone numbers, and each person could not locate me in the system. I even spoke to someone in their "final collections" department and he advised that I was not in their system as a default account. After hanging up, I realized that I'm still back at square one, with no answers on how I can get this paid off. I'm so frustrated with them right now, and I sent off another e-mail to the compliance department with what happened yesterday. They think *I* am playing games?!? Who's playing games now?? Sheesh. I'm starting to think that doing the right thing is much more trouble than it should be.

that is how all MNE d/b/a's operate unfortunately.give it some
more time, because pretty soon you will tire of this if you haven't already.then they will be SOL and i don't mean statute
of limitations.

Have you checked your account on their website? Many on the board have gone to a particular PDL website, logged into their account, only to find that it has been closed. Not saying this is the case, but it's worth a try.

I can still log in, and see that my balance due is $390. And yes, I sure am getting tired of getting the run-around, and am trying to just get it done and over; however, they're making it hard, and I'm just wondering if they're just doing this to try to tack more fees on--can they do that?

Probably. Do you have access to a fax? Do you have this number, (480) 624-2599 as a fax contact for them? Or is this something different? If it is, I would try faxing your concerns over to that number. Keep us posted.

I think what I'm going to do, since I haven't paid any principal on this loan as of yet is send another money order. I'm only going to send $50 though, because that's all I can afford right now...I'm saving my receipts just so they know I'm making a good faith effort to pay this back. You can bet that I'm only going to give them $300 though, NOT the illegal interest! With all the letters and my complaints through the BBB, I would expect to get a PIF once they cash my money orders.

Has anyone ever used a prepaid card to pay these companies? The person in Final Collections stated that I could use a prepaid card--that might be a better option so I can be sure they take the money.

Yes, I am sure they have. I think I remeber someone just sending them the card for the exact amount of the loan and that was that. It is a good idea. I would still fax over my communications if you get a chance. It might just get you an understanding from them. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks llw....I'll fax them today. I haven't received a response from the Compliance department yet. Maybe they're a little frustrated too.

They can do nothing to you but call. Write a C&D, file a BBB Complaint on the Tulsa, OK BBB site, and refuse to pay.

I did that, they wrote off $435 they said I owed them because I didn't back down. You giving in to their hassle is how they stay in business. Don't. Back. Down.

So I'm regretting this pdl already. I just received the $300 today but i have a unique situation. I had given information to lowpaycard.com but never agreed to anything and they began to withdraw from my account on numerous occasions. I had been receiving direct deposit from my job to that account so when I put a hold on it, the bank opened me a new account and just has my deposit forwarded to the new account. So I signed up for the pdl with the old account and it was forwarded to the new, but I'm sure they'll try to dip into the old, but they don't have the account number for the new. Would it be wise to close my old account NOW???

I would close the old account, otherwise the company will continie to withdraw and you will end up with NSF fee's
